I don't know what SOP is for cops when someone is so wasted that they don't understand words or language, but I thought the cop actually handled it well by getting him out and sitting him down and trying to make himself clear.

That could have easily gone way worse once it looked like he was going to put the car in drive. The cop could've yanked him out and cuffed him on the spot and thrown him into the back of the squad car without any communication at all.

As I've always said, never cooperate with police when they are asking for any test or wanting you to answer questions without representation. If you have actually committed a crime, there is nothing you can gain by doing so. Obviously Mike shouldn't have been drinking and driving in the first place, and this certainly isn't condoning anyone else doing so either, but nothing good ever comes from not stretching your rights to the max. Mike could have refused the breathalyzer and demanded to be taken to the station for a blood test. The timing of which could have possibly brought his BAC below .20.

I had no doubt they would show it. They should show it, they wouldn't be doing their job if they didn't. Sucks for Mike and ND fans, but it's major sports news. They showed Ray Rice's video, they showed Mixon's and they showed every other embarrassing tape that comes out for any major athlete. Sucks that it's our guy, but they're consistent.
