This guy is a clown
I can’t believe I’m about to say this but…
That would be a nice landing spot for him. Lawrence is turning a corner and they have a nice young core.
...has Kincaid going ahead of Mayer...
24th overall to the Jags

what a joke and slap in the face that this would be as he is a top 15 worthy pick to me

He may be one of the 15 best players in the draft but also he is a tight end. They just don’t tend to get drafted all that high.what a joke and slap in the face that this would be as he is a top 15 worthy pick to me
I agree with you, this would be a perfect spot for Mayer, he is not going to a terrible team. Lawrence and the Jags are going to get better & Mayer will certainly help them.I can’t believe I’m about to say this but…

I know hardly anyone on the board wants to see this happen, but a guy like Mayer with his high football IQ and contested catch rate, character, etc: watch him land in Green Bay at #15. They're going to fall in love with him during the draft process and they only have one TE under contract heading into the offseason, Josiah Deguara (shoutout to Lion's Bearcats), who hardly ever lines up as an in-line TE or even split out. He's basically a fullback.Watch Mayer drop to the 2nd Round b/c of lack of need of TE in the 1st round
If you watched Matt LaFluer's and their GM's press conferences after the season concluded, and you heard Rodgers' interview on the Pat McAfee show yesterday, you'll see it clear as day that both sides WANT 12 back in GB, should Rodgers decide to come back and play. Rodgers said himself that those faux "reports" from Schefter (once again) and others are purely conjecture. He even hinted that he'd be open to a restructure if he decides to come back to lower his cap hit. That’s assuming Rodgers is in Green Bay next year

Are there QBs in the NFL who don't really like their guys to not drop the ball?Rodgers desperately needs weapons. He has been reduced to Michelangelo without anything to paint with.
Since Mayer is mainly a body position and strength-win receiver (Baby Gronk was accurate), he needs a QB who intuits that he will win exactly there and exactly now, and put the ball where Mayer will outcompete the DB/LB. Rodgers is great at that sort of before-it-happens decision-making and placement. Mayer would super-succeed with Rodgers. MM also has FANTASTIC hands. Rodgers really likes his guys not to drop the ball.
Plus, I don't want MM outcompeting our boy Kmet nor our boy Wright, nor any of our other TEs in the pros.
I agree with this 100%. They have invested heavily on the defensive side of the ball the past 5 or 6 drafts and are still outside the top 10 defensively. Their secondary is the strength of the team, and beyond Reshan Gary, they don't have much depth at EDGE. I could see them going for a DLineman, but I hope they dont.It doesn’t matter if Rodgers is the starter or Love is. This would be a great pick for them. It gives Rodgers a huge weapon and a red zone threat. Love is gives him a security blanket for a first time starter. Both great situations for Mayer.
Id bet about every playoff contending QB is hoping he falls to their time.Selfishly, I hope he falls a bit since he will measure shorter than expected and turn in a “concerning” 40 time.
He’d be the perfect target for Joe Burrow, and would complete the Bengals offense next year (if they can keep Higgins around and get continued development from Jackson Carman).
