I watch a disgusting amount of College Gameday and I agree with Ulukinatme, Corso is most definitely not anti-ND. He picks them more times then not and he raves about the University. The only true anti-ND guys on that show are Desmond Howard and "the Bear" and the latter is leaving for FOX anyways.
Yup, fuck the Bear and Howard.

ESPN's All-America TE is........

TE: Brock Bowers, Georgia

Tight end was one of the hardest positions to pick this season because there were so many good ones. But Bowers gets the nod as the country's most complete player at the position. He's a big-play threat in the passing game, runs great routes, blocks like an offensive lineman and can make defenders miss after the catch and when the Dawgs hand the ball off to him. The true sophomore led Georgia with 52 catches, including six touchdowns, and he also rushed for three scores.

You gotta be kidding me right?

Whoever created those teams deserves my respect --- it is as if they actually were watching the football season.
That, in my experience, is rarely the case (i.e. very little "politics" in the choices.) Alt, Mayer, and Foskey got their props.
Honestly, given Patterson's early problems and Joseph's "vanilla" season, and Morrison being a frosh, that's all we
could hope for (except maybe Sot.) So, good on for whoever that was.

One opponent that I would make an all-around RB case for would be Will Shipley. That guy rose above Clemson's mediocrity.
But I understand the omission.

Been fighting with Georgia fans the last few days. They're some of the most ignorant assclowns I've ever seen, they've never bothered to watch any film on the guy and just assume Bowers wipes the floor with him. One guy claimed Mayer couldn't hold Bowers' jock and he'd probably be a day 2 or even 3 pick. He literally had no idea Mayer is projected to be the #1 TE off the board and estimated as a Top 7-15 overall pick...and they wonder why fans complain about the SEC bias. Mayer got robbed.
Bowers is just a big slot type receiver with more speed than a multi faceted tight end-Mayer IS a tight end in the truest sense-concensus all america baby. Both will be good pros if put in the right situation. I'll take Mayer on my squad. Espn has too much influence on these awards. I didnt even watch these ceremonial awards this year---in a word--JOKE. #0 does all their tight end blocking for Ga not Bowers-wake up and smell the coffee.

Yeah, I work wth a UGA grad and Mayer is only known bc ND Media bias and playing a super soft schedule and he'd never break a 2 deep for a SEC school.... it's also embarrassing that ND out spends every other school in the country by tens of millions each year, puts pure gold on their helmets and can't win a big game.

I could go on if I wanted to,... and I don't even really engage this fan,.... this person just learned through the grape vine I was a huge ND fan and it drives this person crazy.

If you still have the desire to give a Stone Cold Stunner to whoever screwed up the Mackey Award this year, relieve some of your anger by joining the other ND fans dumping Mayer pics in the replies to this clown.

Just to stir up some dust: I was looking at NFL TE prospects lists and here is what one of the sites said about Mayer

12/31/22: Mayer recorded 67 catches for 809 yards and nine touchdowns in 2022. Team sources say Mayer does not have great size and is not especially athletic for a receiving tight end. They also feel underwhelmed by his blocking. Hence, other prospects could definitely pass Mayer as the top tight end for the 2023 NFL Draft.

uhhh... this from WALTERSPORTS (I think their name is.) Is that some off-broadway retard comedy site?

Selfishly I would love if he dropped to the Jet’s second round pick!

He’s going top20 though.

Stewie Manlet is your typical fat, unathletic slob, that lives vicariously through weird fanboy obsessions. It’s pathetic at minimum, borderline disturbing.

I'm the biggest Michael Mayer fan in the world, but he is going to get WORKED by the media during draft prep. Gonna be the most debated, maybe most talked-about guy outside of the QB's and WR's.

He'll measure shorter than everyone expects, won't put up great numbers on the speed/agility stuff, and may not even jump very high.

But he'll test reallllllllly well on the white board, will crush his in-person interviews, and then teams will start throwing out shade to try and get him to drop to a more-affordable draft slot, because they know they're going to get a very productive TE at a bargain rate because of his measurables.

The debate will be "not great measurables" vs "proven production + high character guy."

He was one of the most sure-thing prospects I've ever seen outside of Jaylon Smith (I'm no film guru, though). I'm equally as sure that he will be a productive NFL TE for a while.

Well there’s a reason why some NFL teams can’t seem to figure out their rebuilds.
