Now the real question is, was there one football or two?

The real question is, how much air was in the ball?

Edit: While watching it in slow motion, it clearly hits his shoulder. It may or may not have also deflected off his head.

I think it's important to see the entire footage... maybe this was a trick shot... maybe it landed in a red solo cup...

WHERE DID IT LAND???

That grassy knoll might well be under water right now.
I didn't think Bill was making it to Dallas.

Edit: My bad. Hope all is well up there.

From the day I met his Dad I could sense something special. The more i see, the more I read only confirms this.

"You speak things into existence" I have this poster and it hangs in any office I inhabit. I drilled it into my salespeople's heads. You can only become what you are willing to commit to publicly and then forced to back up with action.

I am so pumped after reading this. This is something you'd expect out of Larry Bird or Michael Jordan. This young man will leave South Bend as an icon. HE just told you so.

Is Notre Dame Stadium going to have a Malik Zaire speech on a plaque somewhere in the future?

I'm ready to suit up and go to war.

He reminds me of a Jameis Winston with a head on his shoulders lol..

The timing is perfect for a kid like this, with an attitude like that, to rise at the position of QB. The talent is there to back it up.

The kool-aid is running strong in this thread.

I hope he's everything you guys think he is. Not the guy that was way outplayed in the spring (practice, by all accounts) by EG...

Go Irish.

Though I will hop on board with his leadership qualities. Good to see a leader back there.

Chris Leak outplayed the hell out of Tebow at Florida during practices. Who ended up being the key player to that Florida era?

The "but...but...but.... Golson practices better" schtick is well past worn. Golson is gone and Ziare is here. I'll tell you what. I'm fine with going all in with a talented kid that told us he would take Golson's job, did it and now has the confidence to tell us that we need to expect the best. Because he won't be happy with any less. The kid is a leader and winner. I'm okay with drinking that flavor of kool-aid.

That's fair and fine. Though anecdotal evidence isn't good proof for much...

Just trying to bring the thread a little down to earth. Would love to see him dominate.

I'm in Woolys boat. Who is going to look better in non-contact spring drills? The QB who can sling it but puts the ball on the floor 3x a game or the QB who is an above-average passer and will fucking truck your ass? Spring practice is designed to make the Golson and Leaks of the world look good.

I'm not sure why we're having this argument. It's nonsense.

So you both think EG would still be at FSU if MZ would have chosen another school?

Come on fellas.

Did he really TAKE Golson's job?

I dont think that he did...

So what would you call that? He said at the beginning of last season that he thought he should be starting, but BK gave the nod to Golson. He was openly upset and kept at it. When he came in when Golson started shitting the bed, we clearly saw a different spark. BK gives Malik the start in the Bowl Game. Which he wins.

Fast forward to this year. BK opens up the QB battle and it looks as though, at best, Golson would share snaps. Golson transfers.

Golson left because of Malik's ability and how, even if only sharing snaps, it would effect him.

Malik said that he would be the starter. He is now the starter. Call that whatever you want.

Starting QB's don't transfer from ND unless the guy behind them is about to take the job from them. The writing was on the wall or it was clear after that 70 yard bomb in the spring game. Maybe we win it all or go 8-5, but it will be with a kid that is going to give us everything he has. I was on board after the LSU game and the kid had tears rolling down his face. He will never quit on his team, coaches, school and fan base. I'm excited for the Malik Zaire era!
