The likeliness of this happening is slim but if you throw this kid in with the young DE's from last cycle and WOW, that's nasty.

So don't get your hopes up but in II's master list for defensive recruits. They say the staff thinks he is closer to a flip than he is letting on.

Oh please sweet baby Jesus! He is one of my favorite pass rushers in this class even more so than Cowart or Lucier South. The guy's tape is amazing

Disagree. He's already been here twice. I think has all the info he needs.

It's hard to pull someone from Bama, let alone someone from Bama who has been there a whole bunch. I think getting him on campus again can only help us out that much more, because we need all the help we can get in this recruitment.

Gotta go with GB on this. He is not getting out of his commitment to Alabama easily. Another trip would mean big things but this was his OV so I think he might decommit first before taking more trips. Plus his family has not been IIRC. So they will probably need to see it if it's gonna happen.

His family initially convinced him to cancel his OV to ND.

That tells you everything you need to know about how this plays out, IMO.

This years recruiting thrill? Should be fun for some, and a meltdown for others...

Given our roster I can now sip some bourbon and enjoy with apathy...

1. He's not coming for another visit

2. He doesn't need to visit again. If number of visits mattered Redfield would be at USC, not ND. He knows everything he needs to know about ND.

3. Regardless of number of visits he's always going to be a tough pull from Bama.

The team will need to keep winning and the defense will need to continue to impress if we want to see blue-chip prospects like this flocking to ND. Win Saturday in Tallahassee and look good while doing it. Go Irish, feck the Creminoles.

1. As far as you know.
2. His parents have not visited. If he does not visit with his parents I seriously doubt he will flip.
3. Exactly. So another trip, particularly with his parents will be a big signal.

They need to get him and his parents to campus for the banquet. I feel like ND hits a homerun every year w/ that event. They know how to connect w/ the parents and use past and current parents as their persuasion tool.

If Lucky's info is correct, I have to believe we are in communication with the parents as well. Don't want another Hood recruitment.

That is really all I want to say. ND will have to convince his parents for him to leave Georgia and not play for Alabama. It will most likely require a trip for them to make at their expense to see first hand. Maybe the coaches could do it in home, but its not likely IMO. ANyway I think an additional visit will be necessary to flip Mehki, regardless if Mehki already knows all he needs to know.

In the end I think he stays with Alabama. I also think he would need to take another trip with his parents in order for him to flip. I just don't know if that will happen or not. Would love to add him though. Anything can happen, so I guess we'll have to wait and see how it all plays out. A win this Saturday could only help.

I don't know what y'all think, but I think if maybe his parents go up for a visit, it will help.

I didn't know this. That pretty much kills any excitement I had.

Given the used car salesman Saban is, I wouldn't get excited about any Bama recruit visiting or flipping until they sign on the dotted line.
