247 has Hood and Bars 4 points lower (97/93 & 95/91) than the composite.

Regular score is 247's evaluation of the player and the composite is the average of several recruiting services' evaluations of the player.

Personally liked Nelson's tape significantly more, but Bars is legit as well.

Agreed. The only better film I've seen for an OL is Braden Smith's. Just my opinion.

I like Nelson, just see him as more of a Top 125 ish guy. Bars IMO is a Top 50 guy. I actually like Bars more than Braden Smith, my only doubts were if Bars frame was legit and it was proven so at the Rivals Challenge where he was measured at I believe 6-6 300.

Bars has the prototypical size/athleticism to be a great OL prospect with NFL upside. Nelson has that Zach Martin like attitude when he plays that almost guarantees that he will be, at minimum, a solid contributor at the college level. Or at least that is my uneducated opinion from film/reviews.

Will be interesting to see who ends up as the better player at the next level. And the level after that.

Nelson also moves incredibly well in space. Braden Smith is obviously a stud but has a very, very unusual build and moves very unlike an OL player. Wish we got Mcdermott, kid is a monster.

Yeah that's who I see Nelson being. A bigger Zach Martin who can play inside and out.

Who plays left or right tackle? Bars at left and Nelson at right? Or vice versa?

They said Bars was the prototypical right tackle at the Rivals 5 star challenge. I thought his feet though would suit him well at left. What does the board think?

I think where Bars and Nelson end to depends alot on how those ahead of them progress. Bars is a prototypical RT but so is Elmer. One of Bars or Elmer could play LT if Stanley/McGlinchey don't pan out at LT. Nelson I think could end up at Guard or Tackle.

BTW sounds like Bivin will be tried out at Center first in case anyone was wondering.

I thought Elmer was playing LT and Stanley was at RT?

Elmer LT and Stanely RT. I highly doubt Bars passes up Stanely his freshman year at RT. I still think Stanely could end up being our RT this year as long as he can stay healthy.
