Sigh, these are all the same arguments hashed out before... I get he's a 5 star, freak, and incredibly gifted, but unless he jumps one of the two, it's not happening. Not enough offensive plays to get everyone the ball. It was a consensus that Amir is the feature back, BK said GA 3 needed to get more touches and is looking like a complete back; where do you exactly see Bryant getting any kind of significant touches that are worth burning a year? You think he's going to be a Keith Marshall and get 100+ as a freshman? Only way that happens is if he jumps someone on the depth chart. This isn't a hard concept, it's just not enough to feed 3 backs, someone has to be the odd man out, so who is it?
Edit/add: in 2012 we had a 3 back system with GA getting 50 touches... In 2009 we had a 3 back system with Cierre/Armando/Hughes, with Hughes touching about 5 times a game... Really don't think I'm far-fetched in saying Bryant RS if he's getting 4-5 touches a game
Bryant could easily pass up Atkinson because Atkinson is a one trick pony, all he has is speed. Now I hope he developed into a complete running back during the off-season but we don't know if he did. And Amir Carlisle is injury prone. Bryant isn't red shirting and I wouldn't be surprised if he is the starting back in some games this year
