He always said he would take officials but the fact he ACTUALLY went through with setting it up is HUGE....the fact that he said ND could be the only one to flip him....leaves me feeling 25%
Is this from II or whenever he first visited, or did this come out with today's news about him visiting?
1st visited, nothing really big..but he had just started following coach booker in sept
found this from 2 days ago in an interview w/ a bama reporter...
Drew DeArmond: Yeah, we heard that Notre Dame and Ohio State impressed you a lot. What impressed you about those places?
Mekhi Brown: Really, it was the tradition. ND has a lot of history but I feel that Alabama was home. I came to my senses early and I committed to Alabama and that’s where I’m going and plus, those two schools are too far away.
That series will probably open more doors for us, but I'm skeptical it'll result in a significant payoff. How is ND's low-pressure, metric-based recruiting pitch going to stack up against cash-laden bagmen and sundress-wearing "hostesses"?
Mehki Brown sets his ND official for next weekend. That's huge.
ND hostesses wearing Catholic schoolgirl outfits would match up quite nicely against Southern belles in sundresses. Play to your strengths, bro.
No longer visiting, per Rivals.
Funny, talk with his parents is what made him cancel. But he's visiting Louisville and Stanford still.
Don't think the suspensions are hurting us yet?
Man, that's ridiculous. And yeah, suspensions have made neg recruiting easier than ever.
How does Stanford avoid these issues? Does their University understand that athletes are different, so they give them more help? Whereas, ND is convinced athlete's aren't special, so zero help?

His parents said they couldn't go, or that they wouldn't go?
Oh, recruiting.
This is verbatim from Rivals update: "they couldn't make the trip and told him he couldn't go".
His parents reaction is not surprising, at least to me. This kid seems like he could be successful ND but his parents want him at Alabama and to stay home.
As long as they think it's best for their kid...I'm ok with that parental stance. If it's for their own (possibly selfish) reasons...that sucks.
Per Rivals: So he talked with his parents because he wanted them to come with for the trip, and they said they wouldn't go and that he couldn't go either, but now they said he can go alone if he wants.
What kind of parent tells a kid he can't visit Notre Dame when his #1 is Alabama? What are they afraid of? Increasing his chances of graduating with a prestigious degree? Anyway, Rivals does not think he will make the trip, but it's possible.
