It is shocking to me but he has been in the training program since the spring so if true it shows he is putting in the work.

Slu come on brotha the playbook has been a struggle for all including Tommy, hence the turnovers and poor showing at the spring game. They all still have time before the season but one of them needs to become a fast learner.

Matt Barkley started as a true freshman and I highly doubt USC thought that it meant a sacrifice of their season.

We have had 9 true freshman start for Notre Dame, two of which (Quinn and Clausen) had great careers at Notre Dame.

Ironically, Notre Dame's first true freshman to start a game was Blair Kiel, fwi (and played great as a true frosh).
