Yup. Every time I go to change a kid's diaper I reach for the wipes and instead of the entire perforated flap being torn off it'll just be sitting there with a small hole instead. They perforate it for a reason! Boxes get me too, they get tossed into the garage not broken down, then I spend 15-30 minutes on trash night cutting Amazon boxes and diaper boxes so they'll fit flat in the bin.
The boxes drive me nuts. Even had my brother-in-law staying with us for his last year of college and its like I'm the only person in the house that wants to actually be able to throw stuff into the bin. Instead I come home to two boxes overfilling my small indoor bins or being piled up next to the door or something. It takes less than a minute to bust up the box and throw it in the larger bin outside. It takes me ten to go through the dozens that appear while I'm at work!
I did an experiment. A few months ago my wife went on multiple business and training trips over the course of a month where she was gone on multiple weeks. I checked the power bill that month and it was $90. Just me and my kid. Lol. With her in the house it doubles.Even in the middle of the day my wife has every single light on in the house. Every lamp, every hanging light, every kitchen light. During the day, I’ll turn the lights on and off and show her there is literally no difference between the brightness in the room.
My lifetime light switch off/on ratio has to be 3:1 by now
I've actually been looking into this lately. For whatever reason the laundry room light in our house never gets turned off unless I do it. There's plenty of others in the house that I have to flip off, but none that I need to turn off as often...nor are there any others that get used for such a brief time only to be left on for hours on end. I'm thinking about getting something like these for some of the lights in our house (Maybe one with better reviews):Even in the middle of the day my wife has every single light on in the house. This type of motion controlled switch is used very commonly in business environments……see them all the time in restaurant bathrooms.I've actually been looking into this lately. The only issue with them is the sensitivity. I have one in my utility room that is really sensitive and will kick on when the furnace starts to run. In my garage, I had one that wasn't sensitive enough so if you are working on something in the garage, it would routinely turn off and it's very irritating. I had to change that one. This type of motion controlled switch is used very commonly in business environments……see them all the time in restaurant bathrooms.
you dont tell her to put her hands in feet inside those cargo shorts for warmth?I'm pretty hot blooded, I want/need the AC blasting at night. My wife constantly complains about how cold it is when we go to bed. SOmetimes I go put the air up a few degrees for her. Every time,... if I do that she wakes up in the middle of the night all pissy bc how hot it is....
Mine wouldnt have any room since they are filled with nicorrete and various snack itemsyou dont tell her to put her hands in feet inside those cargo shorts for warmth?
I keep the AC usually between 72-73 degrees. To me, that's comfortable enough and saves a buck compared to keeping it at 68-70.I'm pretty hot blooded, I want/need the AC blasting at night. Usually mine is cold during the day and will have a blanket while watching TV. Go to bed and Wake up at night to find she’s kicked off the covers because she’s too hot! LolI keep the AC usually between 72-73 degrees. To me, that's comfortable enough and saves a buck compared to keeping it at 68-70.
She always complains about how warm it is in the house on really hot days.....while she's underneath a blanket. Sometimes with long sweat pants on...
In women this is a condition known as melanin deficiencyI'm pretty sure my wife has an undiagnosed thyroid problem or something, she's almost always freezing.
lolI'm pretty sure my wife has an undiagnosed thyroid problem or something, she's almost always freezing. Her office is in the basement and she runs a heater down there in the summer...much to my distain. She also uses a heated blanket year round now when she goes to bed, and it's set high. It's probably at least 72 on the 2nd floor because the thermostat on the 1st floor is set to 70. She might be part Chihuahua. I keep the temp set to 70, but she'll turn it up on me. I didn't know she was the one messing with the thermostat, so I put a password on it thinking it was the kids and I didn't tell her. That didn't go over well.
The only time that woman is hot is when the kids set her off. When that happens she's steaming, and it's "Why is it so hot in this house?!"
Personally I work and game down in the basement pretty much all day, all seasons, and it's quite comfortable. I find our bedroom a bit hot to be honest, but part of that is due to the fact it's on the 2nd floor and there's two big windows with sun shining in each morning.
lol
Reminds me when I decided to start locking my tool chest so my tools wouldn't walk away.
Her: Why did you lock it?
Me: I got tired of trying to hunt down my tools.
Me: Remember, I gave you your own set to use.
Her: Yours are easier to find.
Me: Why is that? (That's when I took off running.) lol
