Just go with a good session IPA instead. Lower alcohol content and calories, but with flavor. Lagunitas DayTime, Founders All Day IPA, or the Stone Go To IPA are some of the best.

In your honor, I got a Port Brewing Shark Attack Double Red Ale.

Very Good. I'm not usually a Red guy but that was good. After some painting on the house today, Going to Pizza Port to score a wheel and some IPA's. Also want to try the Brown Ale called Board Meeting, people talk about like Sculpin and Enjoy By.

I am glad that you enjoyed it. I am not usally a fan of the typical amber/red ales but I really like hoppy reds. OK I just really like hoppy beers.

Ballast Point Sculpin For me while I prepare dinner (shredded beef Chimichangas With some corn off the Cobb pan fried in butter with loads of cumin).

I figured you of all people would appreciate a "Minnesota Martini"

Nope. Noop. Nyet. Nein. Non.

"... the concoction is made with ice wine. The dessert wine is made from grapes frozen on the vine, and hence has more concentrated sugar. But when combined with the vodka ..."

1) I am not a native Minnesotan.
2) It ain't a Martini if Vodka is involved.
3) "Sweet" and Martini are violently antithetical.
4) I've been to the Dakota Jazz Club.
5) They are a pretentious, overpriced bunch.
6) I preferred "The Dakota" when they were in St. Paul. More Jazz, less chichi.
7) "Where the Grapes Suffer" is the catch-phrase of regional vintner.
8) Wine has no right, authority or raison d'être in a martini.
9) A toothpicked cube of rutabaga or parsnip or horseradish might be nice.
10) Catch you later. I'll be in my lah-boor-a-tory.

How was it ?

Drinking Sixpoint Resin . I have had enough of the fecking snow . City of Boston plows are nowhere to be found .

Watching golf , Rangers v Stars and Ducks v Tampa Bay .

I am not putting on the local tv news . No need to pollute my hockey / golf drinking session .

The last of my Stone Enjoy By 2/14/15

I'm a little upset we didn't get this batch. I've heard it's pretty good. I just had a 32 oz. Lagunitas Sucks and I'm following it with a Founders Porter which I really enjoy and have been drinking a lot of.

?

Michigan got the 2/14/15 according to Stone. Now the 3/14/15 is not coming to Michigan and that is sad.

Yeah 2/14/15 came to Michigan

I am in Northern Michigan about 90 minutes from any freeway. We have one really good beer store and one ok beer store. We didn't get this batch. It sucks. And I didn't know the bolded part, that is sad.

Lagunitas IPA and Deschutes Not the Stoic. The latter really impressed me. Novel take a Belgian Quad. Partially aged in used oak wine barrels, it's the most vinous smelling beer I've ever had. The taste reinforces that, as tannins from the wine barrels give it a little red wine-like dryness. Hides the ABV well. Highly recommended.

His location says Alpena, MI.

Northern Lower. Lake Huron side. Beautiful part of the state, long ways from you though (couple of hours right scUMHater?).

Killing the pain with some Hopslam and St Bernardus abt 12.
