We should be #2. We won’t be but we probably played a B to B+ performance and still woodshedded a ranked team at their “intimidating” home field.

What happened to Pride? Noticed him out there early, but yeah a lot of Donte Vaughn late.

Either way, hell of a second half. Really like the way we adjusted on both sides of the ball, and basically enforced our will on them, especially on offense. This is a good football team.

1. Dex is so good. Total difference maker.
2. Our team had a lot more talent than their team, overall.
3. Book is still A+ at managing the offense and hitting the short/intermediate/timing throws. The misses to wide open receivers and consistent errant throws down the field were discouraging. Have to be able to capitalize on those opportunities to beat elite teams.
4. OL didn’t look great today... hopefully they find a way to cope with the loss of Bars moving forward.
5. The fact that the offense can have so many execution errors and still put up 40+ and win by 3 scores on the road shows how far the program/team has come.

It was strange checking my phone for updates and if it was a good update Id picture Val Kilmer from Tombstone in the stands celebrating in full, “you ain’t no daisy!” Mode.... if it was a bad update I pictured him all sickly and dying of consumption....

Book missed some wide open WRs for TDs in the first half. Still pulled away and won big despite some missed opportunities, which previous ND teams would not have done. Love this team as they went through the toughest two game stretch in our schedule with two dominant wins. Tough to play a team like VT away after a physical game with bumps and bruises still lingering from Stanford. Let’s win our inevitably close game with Pitt and recover during the bye then move on to the second half of the season.

You have to admit it is a pretty awesome entrance.

What is the deal with the ejection does Okwara miss next week as a result?
There is a lot of really good players on this team.

Its incredibly lame.

To think anyone gets shook up by that is ridiculous.

The "pep talk" by the band was especially embarrassing.

I'm a huge fan of Metallica, and I know that they started the band because they HATED people that love Virginia Tech football. Its fucking dumb.

3/4 of their team has no idea who Metallica is, nor do they care.

It's stupid. Nice tradition ya got there.

Great run by Dex. He made the right read. But EVERYONE did an awesome job blocking on that run. OL was awesome and Boykin and Kmet manhadled their guys. I really don’t think it could’ve been blocked any better.

I think they blow the doors off Pitt and save the close one for NW.

I, for one, am shocked.

I was told that a Metallica song was gonna completely undo us.

I cant believe these guys persevered after hearing a washed up metal band play one of their worst songs.

Thank God they fought through it.

Haha. Couldn’t have said it any better.

Is this true? If so, them showing up for that entrance video is hilarious and fairly hypocritical. It's like when Psy showed up in NYC as a special guest for the News Years Ball Drop after he said a bunch of shit about Americans.

Book - surgical on the first two drives. then asked to do what he can't. still ended up 70+ percent

Dex - yes, he's for realzzz

Boykin - another 100+

RBs - nothing besides Dex

WR/TE - getting better, but some bad routes or miscommunication

OL - sucked at times. has time to get better before USC

DL - gotta love the depth. gotta stay healthy

LB - Ups and downs, but strong.

DB - soft, but is that more play calling than performance?

OC - stop calling plays that aren't complimentary to your QB

DC - why so soft?

HC - If you dug into your coordinators at half, great job

ST - yoon rocks, the rest sucked...

Overall - without the scoop and score, and the long run from Dex, it would be scary.. but it's a 20+ point win, and we all should be happy drunks right now. Don't get cocked like KPENN though.
