I get the fact that the announcers don't want to sound like ND homers, but, good grief, Flutie sucks. I am going to start watching the games on mute!! Is he going to be calling the game against BC?
Honestly, I would rather we play all our games on the road, so we do not have announcers. Oh wait....
Does anybody listen to Criqui call the game for IMG while watching the NBC broadcast? If so, when you simulcast it, is there a delay? How much?
I don't normally complain about announcers but I absolutely can't stand Hicks and Flutie. I grew up listening to Hall of Famers. They do not cut it.
If only Doc Emrick would move back to Indiana and learn football...
Keep your hands off Doc. The man is a hockey god.

ABC/ESPN calls aren't any better.
I always thought that a game experience mode would be pretty popular. Just hear what you'd hear if you were at the stadium. But on your TV
But at least they are not supposed to care if ND wins. Hell, another thing that CBS has on NBC is better announcers. Yet another reason why people watch SEC games, even on the SEC Network.
I miss the days when ND was not on TV nearly every Saturday.

Probably a delay, but if you're watching /w DVR you could always adjust to compensate.
Yeah, I hate when I get to see my favorite team play on television every single week!![]()

My wife thinks it's funny that I say, "Oh, shut up Flutie" every few minutes while watching. This was the first game I muted a significant portion and I enjoyed it much more.
Can you tell that your favorite team is on? Me neither.
At least, when CBS was basically the only game in town--other than SEC games on Jefferson Pilot--you knew the game was important and the announcers were not going to be complete dbags like Flutie, Hammond, Haden or anyone not named Criqui.
Give me the CBS CFA broadcasts any day of the week compared to the idiots on the air now.
Maybe I'm misunderstanding what you are saying. Are you saying you miss the times that the announcers weren't garbage or that you literally miss the time when ND wasn't on TV every week? Because the latter is pure insanity.
I miss ND on CBS... indeed.
I have another gripe with NBC - crowd noise. After you watch a game on CBS or ESPN, flipping on Notre Dame is like watching a game taking place in a church. They don't capture atmosphere, at all. In fact it seems like they intentionally avoid it. Frankly, it sucks. I like when you can barely hear the announcers because it is a big 3rd down in the fourth quarter. It makes all of the other stadiums seem so much louder, but generally they aren't - they are just mic'd up.

I couldn't handle it after the first few games, so I linked up the radio broadcast with the game and it has been awesome.
I just always figured it was because NDs atmosphere sucks in comparison to other venues... so the stadium gets really loud and ruckus, but NBC doesn't capture it????
There isn't any delay??
