I would rather them adjust to BW's strength than try and find the right " QBfit" to BK's and Long's preferred "scheme".
Game management will be a whole lot better one Long starts calling a better game plan. I think that should be this weekend because his game plan does seem to work better toward Book’s strengths then to Brandon’s strengths.
I don’t get this. I don’t think BW has played poorly enough to warrant benching. He is 3-0 and has a win over a top 15 team. Instead of building him up it appears they keep screwing with his confidence by pulling him out of the game and now entertaining this QB switch talk.
Everything you say is conjecture and just ridiculous. I think Book is a much better passer than Wimbush but everyone complains about BW‘s accuracy when Book isnt exactly throwing it a whole lot better. Same with my exclamation for people getting on BW for not throwing the ball away, Book did the exact same thing so don’t expect a huge improvement in game management. As for the bolded, that just shows how ridiculous your argument is. Book comes in when we are in what Kelly calls the blue zone… Inside the 5 yard line. Of course he has a better chance of throwing a touchdown pass with every attempt versus throwing a pass from his own 20 yard line.

1 hail mary touchdown with 4 interceptions in 3 games isn't bad enough for you? He's 3-0, but none of the wins were because of his play.
If he was the QB we were hoping for, he would've found the end zone in the passing game at least 2 times in both the BSU and Vandy games.
I'm going to laugh when this Ian Book rumor isn't true though lol

3&OUT is almost as common as making a first down with BW. Through three games we had 14 out of 35 possessions (40%) end in 3 & Out or worse (two of those are INTs two plays in). Turns out all those passes hitting the ground stall out our offense.
Add 2 more 4 & Out where we get a quick first down and then stall and you have 16/35 fail - 46% of possessions!
Split by halves - First half 7/19 fail rate (37%), Second half 7/16 (44%) or 9/16 if you add 4 & Out (56%).
Considering 2/3rds of those numbers come from two of the worst teams on our schedule I can appreciate the coaching staff opening their minds to other options.
Wrong.
Michigan (best opponent) he was the best offensive player, period.
I agree he needs to continue to improve. I also want to see what Book can do. I'm just here to call idiots/fake news out.
That's all well and good, but BK/Long not adjusting to BW is a perfect example of why BK will never win a championship.
That win was very much due to the outstanding play of the defense. Yes, he was the best offensive player we had but his one and only score was very lucky.

Second half we totaled 68 yards of offense on six possession (excluding the V formation 7th possession). 4 of six possessions were 3 or 4 and out. A fifth was a six play drive totaling 6 yards. 41 yards on a FG drive otherwise Michigan made adjustments and shut us down. 5 possessions totaled 27 yards of offense - good luck putting lipstick on that pig.
Lucky throw?
Dude was almost the only one that moved the chains, whether via arm or legs. That score aside, we would have lost without his production that day.
(side note: I'm not saying Book couldn't have won, simply Brandon was the best player that game).
The 2019 season can't get here soon enough. Wimbush will be at Syracuse, Rutgers or wherever, Book will be back on red visor / clipboard duty and the 5 Star Phil era will be in full effect. It's all about 2020 & 2021. The core of 2017 class + the '18, '19 & '20 classes will have the 85 man the most talented/experienced since '88 - '93.
You really don't think the touchdown to Finke wasn't lucky? He threw it into double coverage and it went right through the defenders hands.
If BK is so cavalier about pulling Wimbush for the start, there’s good reason to believe this could just be a strategy to make game planning more difficult for Stanford. I think Kelly sees a defense in Wake that can be chewed apart and views this as a game for Book to play well in and develop some meaningful and sustained drives for game film. I’d be surprised if Wimbush isn’t in on all of this, as he has stated multiple times that he will do anything for the win. Besides, Book is his roommate. I personally think all the hype is overblown, and Kelly will play it loose with how he utilizes both QBs, because he believes he has a good grasp on their dispositions and strengths.

Inb4 his throwing motion sucks and he never does anything at ND

We are 3-0 and ranked No. 8 in the country. Isn’t it a little early for “wait til next year?”

“Just wait until...” that drum has been beat to death since Davie took over.
