I don't know about a cake walk, but Kelly definitely has Dantonio's number. He should be 4-0 against the Spartans, if not for bumbling officials in that 2010 game. I like us at home, baring catastrophe with injuries or we end up being completely unprepared at the start of this season.

I think it's less about UT and more about how ND has played during the first road game of the year. Crazy shit has happened more often than not.

2010 - Loss - MSU - Bull shit ending
2011 - Loss - UM - Bull shit ending
2012 - Win - MSU - Good win
2013 - Loss - UM - Ughh
2014 - Loss - FSU - Should have won
2015 - Win - UVA - Fortunate to win

Not a great track record. I am expecting a fair amount of mistakes and the kicking game concerns me greatly. I think Yoon struggles and we lose.

Kelly likes a balanced offense, but favors the pass. Whenever he is forced to use the run to set up the pass good things happen.

The 24 is because we will get burned on a couple of big plays and give up garbage points.

- On Offense

QB: 2 motivated guys who can play- improvement
RB- 3 guys that could play almost anywhere- slight improvement
OL- wash, but emphasis on run helps and feel the pain on the left side.
TE- upperclassmen ready to go - improvement
WR- Did we even pass to guys other than Fuller? I think the combination of Hunter Jr. and everyone else will be fine- slight step back.

Last year's offense was fine, this years will be too.

- On defense,

DT: Improved- I like the combination of Tillery and Jones, more than Tillery and Day- Day is better than Tillery at this point, but Jones is a real NT and Tillery can play his more natural position. The upside here is huge

SDE: Improved- Rochelle is a man and he is a year older and more rush-consceince- SDE better.

WDE- wash- Hayes/Trumbetti/Hayes - probably a wash

WILL- worse- BUT he'll actually be able to play his assignments instead of just running to where the MIKE just missed a tackle.
MIKE- big, huge step in the right direction
SAM- improved

CB1- Luke with a year more experience
CB2- Crawford is an x-factor, and Coleman has potential wash

SS- Tranquill - improved
FS- wash (athletically worse, but Max was the classic example of running nowhere really fast)

So I think the only real loss is Jaylon. But we have 11 guys that no what they are doing, leaving only one weakness to compensate for (FS), rather than 3.5 (FS, SS, MIKE, and sort of NT). And considering that VG likes to shut down the middle of the field, this team plays more into his strengths.

Games in SB. CBK is 3-1 CMDonio. They only have 11 starters back starting on their 2 deep and of their starters, you have McDowell, 6 borderline 4 stars (one of which admittedly Brian Allen) and 15 3 stars who include you new LT and QB.

If any of these cry babies are right in their predictions, CBK needs to be a special assistant in Foxboro next year.
