Just had to share what a co-worker (an LSU fan) posted on Facebook!!

Members of CFST,
While the entire world is aware that LSU lost to Troy IN Death Valley on a Saturday night, there are a few things I would like to stop and recognize. First off, our team/staff is absolutely terrible this year. I said before the Troy game that if LSU won, it would be a very close game. Was definitely worried. I do not think we will win another game all year except possibly Ole Miss, but this will still be a challenge.
Secondly, I would like to point out that the only reason you are all chuckling it up and poking fun, which btw we have no problem with, is that you are all quite shocked. The reason you are shocked? Because nobody, not Alabama, not Notre Dame, not Georgia, certainly never Nebraska, nobody has as high a winning percentage against non conference opponents as LSU. We were 49-0 against non conference teams at home and it had been 15 years since we lost to a non conference opponent in the regular season. When is the last time your teams dropped one against non conference opponent and no Bama fans, waking up next to your naked sister does not count.
Lastly, we are always LSU fans and we are just better. Regardless of a shitty season now and then, we aren't going to go bandwagon to another team or start claiming we are from somewhere we're not and will continue sporting our purple and gold year round. We are better fans than all of you with better history, better culture, better looking people, and have a better time. So don't hate, just recognize that your ridicule has no effect on us and is nothing more than a manifestation of your jealousy and shock that such a titan as LSU can be beat by an inferior program. GEAUX Tigers!!

Well, bless his heart.

LSU fans ready to take the mad hatter back? I remember everyone lauding the hiring of Eddie O.

LSU fans can take soulice that no one is making this as big a deal as when App. St. punked scUM in the own back yard. That got rewound for about two weeks.

Parity is affecting all teams sans Bama.

Which is good for Notre Dame. Every 4-5 years they should be in the mix for the Natty if they run the program effectively

The best part of this is he is one of the creators of the smack talk Facebook page that he posted this in.

I guess good on him for sticking to his team in their darkest hour, something I as a Cleveland Browns fan can appreciate I guess. Ignoring some of the more glaring issues with what he wrote I would love to see the winning percentage of the teams LSU has beaten in their OCC schedule vs the win/loss of out of conference opponents of those he's to... I'm going to guess, admittedly without really looking, that makes things a bit clearer on that front.

15 years since they lost to a non-conference opponent in the regular season? They lost to Wisconsin in last seasons opener.

Talked today with a Tennessee fan. He expressed concerns regarding the FBI investigation into basketball issues and the idea that this could quickly contaminate football programs and their coaches. Vetting a potential candidate for Tennessee (or LSU) may be more difficult than prior years.

https://tennessee.rivals.com/news/jones-hands-down-punishment-from-practice-field-altercation

Taylor and freshman offensive lineman Trey Smith got into a scuffle at practice last Thursday, with Taylor kicking Smith in the face. The blow required Smith to receive stitches.

After being ejected for fighting in the second half against Georgia on Sept. 30,Taylor was already suspended for the first half of Saturday's game against South Carolina but Jones has extended the suspension indefinitely following is actions Thursday morning on the practice field.

Smith is not expected to miss any gametime.

I like the Ed O-Matt Canada mid week fight a little better.

Let's be honest, any fight with Ed O involved is going to be entertaining as hell!

It's like listening to Foghorn Leghorn after he's had a case of Redbull and a fifth of Jack Daniels.

SEC regular season record against P5 teams this year 6-9 (Ga's win over ND makes it 7-9).

Their bowl record so far with the Playoff games to go is 2-5.

Give credit they have two teams in the CG, but their bowl record against everyone else shows the SEC isn't as dominant as it was 5-7 years ago. They have been slipping little by little since then. It also appears that the B1G may have been the best conference overall this year.

I agree. We only had two really good teams this year with a third, Auburn, being good at times. The rest of the conference was bad to mediocre. Half of the conference will go into next season with a new HC. The past few seasons saw a lot of programs slip.

They know how to play the scheduling game- got it down to a science-that coupled with administrations totally sold out to getting guys in to win football games and you have the sec- seriously I ask this question- if Saban was at Notre Dame with the school keeping the same culture(which we all think is the right way to go about your business)would he be able to match Kelly. I think its a valid question. Lastly I told someone the other day Ga/Auburn/Ala/Clemson should never lose a game unless its when they play each other. Rigged deck! Watching these teams play yesterday the thought hit me they have more athletes on special teams that most teams have starting on offense/defense. Its what college football has become and there is nothing you can do about it. Lost in all the playoff lights yesterday was such things as Notre Dame/Northwestern/USF doing what they did. Its very hard to respect the college game today, watch it, be entertained, but respect it-that's a big question mark.
