Oh man this guy might make me a Bama fan...

Welcome to the family. I'll even buy you your first Bama sweatshirt and teach you the secret handshake. :)

I thought Jalen handled the entire situation exceptionally well. It had to be a difficult thing for him. Glad to see Tua throwing some love back his way.

Wow Jacob Copeland's mom just got up and left him at the table. This is inexcusable as a parent.

I know this key probably wasn't an option For ND but i hope he keeps a level head and does well. Jacob handled it well. Very mature actions.

And ESPN kept grilling him questions about why she got up. Very unprofessional.

That's ridiculous. I don't care which school he committed to or which he spurned, his mom was a POS to do that.

So his top 3 was UF, Bama, and Tenn. and she was wearing a Bama sweatshirt and a Tenn. Hat and she's pissed because he picked UF?

I wonder what $$ the other schools offered her if her son signed with them.

With the moms, it's usually a cushy, easy job with a nice salary and benefits package and unlimited vacation time. Sometimes it's close to home, other times it's a job offer they receive "after" they move closer to watch their son play.

That's how UK *allegedly* does it with basketball. Plenty of heavy-hitters in Lexington and surrounding areas that can make some extra room in their companies for as long as the mom is interested in working.

Hidden camera in shower led to arrest of UGA equipment manager

An equipment manager for the Georgia football team is accused of using a hidden camera to capture images of at least one individual showering in the Bulldogs locker room.

Kevin Purvis, 37, who is listed as associate equipment manager on the Georgia Athletic Association’s website, was booked into Athens-Clarke County Jail at 8:48 p.m. Friday and charged with four felonies and a misdemeanor. Three of the felonies are for illegal eavesdropping or surveillance. The other felony was for possession of a Schedule II controlled substance and the misdemeanor was for possession of marijuana....

Nothing here except a summary of what everyone already knew. Still, a good read for those who may have not kept up with the investigation.

Lol....wut?

Several players said Thursday they believed the team policy offered no wiggle room regarding weapons.

"No weapons allowed," receiver Josh Hammond said. "That's been our policy since coach Mullen got here."

Mullen said otherwise.

"It's a no-weapons policy in certain situations of how to be educated to not have (issues)," said Mullen, hired last November and tasked with rebuilding an offense that has been stagnant for nearly a decade. "No weapons, that's easy to remember. If I write out all the different (scenarios) -- no weapons in these situations or have a weapon for a hunting situation, if I'm doing this, I store it at this location, I keep it here, I have gun safety rules and knowledge -- that's not a quick catch to them to register in their mind. Does that make sense?"

Florida coach Dan Mullen says no-weapons policy features wiggle room

Bama was Bama. Our D was a big concern due to losing so many players, but looked solid.

Both Auburn and Washington made a lot of strange, stupid play calls that just made no sense and didn't work. They appeared to be trying to see which team could shoot itself in the foot most often. Not what I expected from Malzahn or Petersen.

Ole Miss was surprisingly good.

Tennessee has a long way to go. Pruitt can coach, but he didn't inherit much talent.

Wasn't a very good game, by either team or coach and wasn't impressed by either team. Granted it was the 1st game of the season, but neither looked to be Natty contenders.

I found myself staying on the tenn-wvu game a play or two longer during aub-uw commercial breaks because at least wvu was fun to watch, in how they executed both offensively and defensively (and yes, aided by the fact that tennessee sucks).

LSU was impressive tonight. They may have a QB this year and, as usual, have a top running game and defense. Auburn vs LSU in two weekends. Next weekend both have in-state FCS breathers - SE La for LSU, Alabama St for Auburn. Why does LSU always seem to have tough cross-division games - Florida and Georgia this year. Auburn has Tenn and Georgia. Alabama has Tenn and Missouri.

Ole Miss looked good outscoring T Tech by twenty, but who plays defense in the B12. (I saw one prediction of TT over Ole Miss 41-36. Odds had Ole Miss winning by 2)

Bama is Bama. Saban is Saban. Bama's next four future opening P5 opponents - Duke, USC, Miami, Texas (actually second game). Bama gets $6 mill for the USC game, which can go towards part of Saban's salary.

Because they have protected cross division rivals. Bama always plays Tennessee, Auburn always plays Georgia, LSU always plays Florida.

Ole Miss was surprisingly good.

Taamu vs Tagovailoa is game that never could have happened in Hawaii, since Jordan played for a small school. I think you will have a huge number of Hawaii fans watching this game.

Didn't see it talked about elsewhere, but auburn moved up 2 spots in latest ap poll...after playing weak ass southern miss within 1 score for the majority of the game, at home. This is 3 weeks after dropping down only 2 spots for losing at home to lsu.

Why?

These are the voting trends critics (rightfully) point to when claiming sec bias. It's usually not huge movements, it's ones like this where they were bumped, and truthfully should have dropped.
