If the coaches gave him names to recruit, my best guess is that he's currently a silent to ND and is going to UCLA to tell them in person, "Thanks, but no thanks."

He should go to UCLA, he should check it out to make 100% sure ND is right for him. Based on all previous reports and comments from Alloway ND did what they needed to do. I'd rather have a recruit be certain in the beginning than wonder down the road.

He's taking all 5 OVs so he won't be 100% ND until he signs the LOI. This recruitment went from exciting to meh for me when I heard that

This recruitment is now officially trending on the dumb side. Now he wants to visit UCLA again comical what was the point of begging for a ND offer.

IMO, this has a lot to do with building hype for his commitment, one way or the other. Just like stuff coming out about him talking up UM. He's highly rated but not highly recruited. There is some attention grabbing going on. Is it just coincidence that bleacher report broke that news and will possibly handle his commitment?

For those in the know, when he left here he tweeted on 7/24 that he needs to visit UCLA again. Is that what he is setting up for Monday or will this be his second visit to UCLA since leaving here?

No this will be his first visit to a UCLA since his ND visit. I do think there a sincere concern of his about leaving the west coast so he's giving them another shot. However, I do think this always plays into another theme as well.

He was given too much to think about. He needs to see if UCLA can really match what ND offers before he leaves the coast for MW!

That was the point of the ND visit. Nothing has changed from then. He's on record sayin he was prepared to commit. There is a lot of build up to this and rightfully so, it's his moment but stringing this out does get played out.

That's all I was saying it is just getting annoying now. It does not make me interested in his recruitment in fact I read about UCLA and thought here we go again. When we win this year if he is still not commited yet he will come knocking down our door.

FWIW, some kids really like the game. Not necessarily saying he does but it seems that way. Do those kids end up at ND not usually but there are cases where they want there limelight. ESB and Redfield for example. Both Cali kids wanted to play it up a bit. I expect both will be very good contrulibutors to our team in time.

correct me if im wrong but isn't alloway connected to a training centre that is trying to build their brand? elongating his recruitment is probably in their interest in terms of publicity?

Is he a marketing rep or a football recruit?

I just don't get this type of thinking. We always talk about a "40 yr. decision"...well, don't we want them to fully embrace ND and leave no doubts when they commit? Or would you rather have the satisfaction of a rushed commit now only to face the dissatisfaction of a decommit later? Corey Holmes did the exact same thing, and then committed to ND after visiting UCLA. I highly doubt you're annoyed with him now that he's on campus.

Personally, I want recruits to be sure. You can beg for an offer and still do your due diligence...the two are not mutually exclusive If I were a dad of a son with Alloway's abilities, I'd be begging for certain offers as well, so my son had some excellent choices. Per his quotes, he loved his ND visit. But apparently he needs/wants to check UCLA out one more time. Sucks for us, but he needs to do what's best for him. And if ND ain't the place, I'd rather know now than later.

Do what you have to do, Alloway.

He could still visit UCLA commit to us and then decommit and go to UCLA, so my point was don't beg for a ND offer say we lead going in to the visit say we lead coming out of the visit and then go back to visit UCLA.

Why can't we lead going into the visit, lead going out, and he not be allowed to visit UCLA? You know how many times that happens with recruits? He feels he needs to do his due diligence. Good for him. Corey Holmes did the exact same thing...again, are you annoyed with him?

And he very well could commit and decommit. But the chances are FAR greater that he won't if he does his due diligence and doesn't make a rash or rushed decision. Isn't that what we want? Again, maybe it's just me but I just don't understand your line of thinking. It's not our life anyway...he needs to do what's best for him on his own timeline, not some fans who selfishly want him to hurriedly commit to their school.

He can visit where he wants Michigan is next because he is not sure, there he goes begging for another game changing offer.

So you're upset because this kid worked his ass off for a dream offer, earned it, loved his visit here, and then didn't proceed to offer his firstborn as a sacrifice to pledge his loyalty to ND?

Nothing wrong with a kid taking his time to make his decision. I love ND too, but there are definitely things other schools could offer me that would make me give them a look.

You know what, I give up. You're right, he should commit on your timeline, not his.

Lol this is his own life and you're criticizing him for doing his homework surrounding one of the biggest decisions of his life because you want the reward of an immediate commitment ok man

As a dad I understand he should and needs to make the bed decision for himself. As a ND football fan I am like just commit already. No one is upset at him or mad.

I would NEVER commit right now... and give up 4 of the best free vacations you will EVER have? I can play back every single second of my visits. Best times ever. I even took a teammate on one of them and he got the treatment too. Front row for The Talking Heads during the Speaking in Tongues Tour. I hope he goes and enjoys himself and then commits because ND needs a little firestarter like Alloway.

There are a lot of kids that want to have offers from certain programs just so they can say they got it. Not saying this is the case here, but it happens frequently.
