Interesting random blurb not sure where to put, Bud Elliott (247 National Recruiting Analyst) said the prevailing murmur is Matt Campbell doesn’t want to go somewhere where he’ll have to get his hands as dirty as “certain regions of the country”. Mentioned PSU/ND/Michigan as more what he’d be eyeing

He's already coached there on two different occasions, and now he's got baggage.
So he will fit right in with the others who have had baggage. Kiffin, Sark and a few others seem to use Saban as a coaching recovery spot.

But if it is as bad as it seems in Knoxville, Pruitt may have a show-cause coming his way.

Things may get ugly in Knoxville. Trying to pin recruiting violations on Pruitt to prevent the buy out seems a risky play. This doesn’t happen for a reason.

IDK. If there were bags of plenty of McChicken Sauce going around, not that risky IMO.

If BS, then yes.

Just for funsies, click the link here and listen to Rush Propst talk about UGA and Bama recruiting. If you don't know, Propst was the HFBC at Hoover High, has been a head coach in south Georgia and is as dirty as HS FB coaches come and would definitely be one to know this kind of dirt. He's really a reprehensible human being. Him slinging accusations at Kirby and Saban about buying recruits while he doesn't know he is being recorded is good stuff.

Former LSU coach Les Miles is now former Kansas coach. Kansas showed him the door after the sexual mistreatment allegations while at LSU came out of the closet.

Dude had two families as well. Definitely not a stand up guy. My guess is there was some of that going on. Maybe he was getting his piece, but things changed and he's not getting his piece so he wants to throw everyone under the bus? This was recorded back in May last year, so I'm curious as to why this is just coming to light?

The former FB coach at Valdosta is suing the school system. As part of that, Nub Nelson, who was fired by the Valdosta TD Club last month, gave a depo that stated Propst was paying that Jake Garcia kid (whose whole story is also loony, so it's likely true lol). I have little doubt that it was leaked with Nelson's blessing to further bury Propst by pissing off UGA and Bama and to burn the whole thing down on his way out.

Screw Friday Night Lights. This is great HS FB drama.

The Athletic is reporting that the SEC is discussing playing 9 conference games when UT & OU join the conference. This is welcome news as they won't be able to schedule William & Mary and some HS power for a couple of breaks in their schedule. Bama hasn't played at Florida since 2011. When A&M played at UGA in 2019 it was the first time playing there since joining in 2012. One possibility is each team will have three permanent opponents then rotate the rest of the teams in the other six conference games.

Texas - OU, A&M and
Bama - Auburn, LSU and
Tenn - UGA, UF and
UGA - Tenn, UF and

Clemson will only bring about 3 area codes to the table. FSU probably something similar but overlaps with Miami and UF too

If I'm Sankey and I want to blow up the world, I grab VT, UNC or NC State (whoever says yes first) & WV.

I know have 19 schools and have effectively completed Reconstruction of the Confederate College Conference. My next move is to tell Ohio State they will join as the #20 team or we will ford the Ohio, takeover Cincy and dismantle their monopoly of the state like Louisville did Kentucky.

Just picked up 4 states with 33 million people. Probably better to tell WV to pound sand and pick up Temple. Move into 6M strong Philly metro and bumps up Population grab to 44 million.

Grabbing all former slave states would make for delicious SEC backlash and would once again unite the rest of the country against them and ushers in the post NCAA era. Yes, ND would have to join that new entity but they'd still get to play all of their traditional rivals and best of all, I don't think the B1G survives.

I almost posted the other day that the ballsiest move the SEC could make would be to invite Cincy while they have Fickell and the defensive identity firing on all cylinders, offer to fund what would be a ridiculously expensive stadium expansion, then use the SEC brand to absolutely tank Ohio State by propping up Cincy as Ohio’s new king.

A man can daydream… or make it happen in NCAA14 with the CFB Revamped downloads.

Yep, ND is the only school that can bring the cache and impact a conference needs. Clemson and FSU probably reached out because they know ND isn’t joining a conference any time soon. The ACC contract is locked in for about 15 more years and isn’t going to get better.

Clemson's screwed... unless the sEC voted out the Gamecocks and took the Tigers. That would be the most SEC thing to happen in 2021.

Right now I'm under the impression that anything is possible.

Yeah, I don thtink the Mighty Hens are a protected species when it comes to security in the SEC. They were a part of the ACC before as well. Though if the SEC wants elite teams to join.... right now Clemson would be favored over USC but I dont think thats their goal. They want that money and the streaming eyballs adn they gain nothing by pushing out USC and bringing in Clemson. Might be a net negative IMO.

Exactly. It’s about brand now…not TV footprint. Texas has been down since the Mack Brown heyday but their brand is still huge.

This is pretty funny.

Texas lawmakers take shots at Longhorns: ‘Maybe your fanbase would rather lose to Alabama than TCU’ - al.com

University of Texas at Austin President Jay Hartzell was appearing before a committee in the Texas State Senate to discuss his school's move to the SEC. Some of the lawmakers and others speaking before the committee roasted him. Sen. Lois Kolkhorst noted the Longhorns had only won three of the last 10 games against her alma mater, TCU. “Maybe your fanbase would rather lose to Alabama than TCU,” she said.

To which he laughed, and thought, "for the additional revenue well generate by moving well lose to whoever else joins the SEC."
