Given the choice between KVR and DD, I'd still rather have KVR back. Luke was picked on against Syracuse, would be nice to let him adjust some more and cut down on the reps. I'd also imagine we'd be able to bring even more pressure by locking down the outside with Riggs and KVR.

I agree with you 100%. The young WR's are tearing it up...literally so much depth it truly is next man in at WR right now. Especially IF Amir is back this weekend. Him, Procise, and Hunter Jr. will be hard to coral. Add in the proven Fuller, Robinson, and Brown and that is 6 WR's that can make an impact. We have #'s at CB but not as many proven, trustworthy yet. KVR is a shutdown force...I have been waiting all year to watch him and Riggs pair up together and shut down WR's. Add in the way Farley is playing and that is 3 playmakers which can only lead to more coverage sacks or INT's.

Is Collinsworth ready to roll this weekend for sure? Would be nice to have his smarts and leadership against one of our toughest opponents this year.

I personally think people should temper their excitement of our current WRs until after the FSU game, or at least Stanford.

Definitely, because they're mediocre. None of them are top 2 round players and all have serious flaws in their game.

I see what you did there. Seriously, do people really think ND is that bad? I mean ND have dominated four straight games. We made a number of mistakes mostly youth and Golson related but physically and athletically we are among at least the better if not best teams in the country. We haven't had this kind of team speed and team wide fundamental physicality since the 1994/1995ish teams.

And best of all, the D is young, hungry, and energized. ND is definitely talented and capable enough to win 10 games and a tier 1 bowl or better. Making the playoffs will be based on the one thing that always separates teams in football, who can execute when needed.

ND receivers suck. They shouldn't even bother to show up in Tallahassee. We should just run the ball and not even try to pass it.

Offenses dealing with honesty and poor performance are different. One is not a strike vs. the other. The poor grades won't hurt him. (Hell, it might help him. If I were cheating I'd make sure to at least hit a 2.0...)

What about Defenses dealing w them? Just curious.

Oh, I get it now......my bad

Big problem with analysts ... and society in general ... is a lack of nuance. Everything has to be "good" or "bad", or even "great" or "terrible."

Top tier WRs that will get drafted high are very rare and when you have them (Floyd/Tate/Julio Jones/Amari Cooper/etc.) it poses a legitimate matchup problem for the opposition.

After that, you have a tier of players that are very productive but have flaws to their game (guys like TJ Jones... his flaws were size and a lack of truly elite speed) but also usually have strengths they can play to or are really polished, and they usually get drafted later in the hopes that they can play to those strengths.

And then below that tier you've got your "average" players. These guys are good enough to be productive starters and they are not a weakness on your team. Often times they'll develop into very productive players and get drafted. But what makes them average is that you can find players of their caliber on any solid Power 5 team in the country. Michigan, Stanford, UNC, FSU, Arizona State, Louisville, and USC all have WRs rated significantly better than our best WR (Will Fuller). If you're counting... that's over half the teams on our schedule. That's pretty much the definition of average.

So when I simply say that right now "none of them are top 2 round players" and "they all have flaws" and that they're average... it's just an accurate evaluation. And it has literally nothing to do with TJ Jones.

I've been an over the top optimist on this issue, so TIFWIW, but this sounds like a man expecting some to be cleared.

in one sentence he said he knew nothing about the hearings then when asked if he would be joining the players said he didnt want to comment.

From the beginning he has known more than he has ever let on.

Also you have to take into account the system kids play in. If there are 3-4-5 WR sets all of those WR have to win individual matchup's. If BK could get guys with great size (CR) on smaller safety's or LB they have to win those matchups. If you get guys like (WF) on Backers he needs to use his speed. If you see zone even OK WR must find soft spots. If you want to zone against EG he, so far seems to take what he wants, hence the 24 straight completions. Its all about the system, IMHO.

Okay, if anything were happening today you would think something would be out and known by now...

Zero info, but I doubt there's any hearings today, simply because this blows and the scheduled dates named off were Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, per BK and DD's ESPN interview.

I doubt there's a hearing until tomorrow at the earliest.

How do you say with certainty that Robinson or Fuller are not going to be 1st or 2nd round picks? What does not being a top two rounder mean? Was Antonio Brown average in college? He was a 6th round pick and he's a Pro Bowler now. There is no s ience in your metrics. If there was every Pro Bowler and HOF'er would have been a 1st rounder.

I can say with 100% certainty that if they were eligible for the draft this year they would not be top 2 round picks. Future projections of what they might develop into in a couple years are completely irrelevant to the quality of player being played this weekend.

What you're doing is the equivalent of talking about the weaknesses of an underclassmen Te'o (he was bad) for an upcoming game that year and you being like "how can you say he won't be..." It does not matter at all for this weekend what someone might become.
