Relax my friend. I've read pretty much everything you've posted and believe it or not, the sky is not falling. Kelly will make the needed adjustments and hires. You're worried about the new DC not fitting the talent we have. You don't think Kelly will take that into consideration? Good coaches can coach and use their personnel properly.

You're probably right. I think weathering this storm really comes down to retaining the other assistants.

Make Elston + Cooks co-DC and we probably keep everything together. I don't know if Elston or Elliot would follow Diaco for a promotion to DC but that really seems like biggest risk.

Pretty easy for the guy that's leaving town to say. Love Lou but if I was a senior I would have a different feeling about this thana freshman or recruit. With that said way to stay positive big guy.

Doeren was the DC at Wisconsin but later moved on to become HC at Northern Illinois and now HC at NC State. Not sure who the DC is at Wisconsin now.

Mike Frank is hearing Cooks and Elliott are definitely staying, with Elston the only possible guy to follow Diaco if he is named his DC, as that is what he apparently aspires to.

He ultimately doesn't seem too concerned overall about the loss though.

Definitely a possibility. 247 has him listed as former Assistant Head Coach/RC/Line coach.

To me I think Elliott might actually be best as a pure coach, but to keep the class together you might have to appease the best recruiter in Elston, and Cooks is already co-coordinator, so anything else is a demotion.
