Sincerely, Pat, fvck you very much!

I have bee trying to spend as much time spilling all of what I learned this weekend and I started with recruiting impressions as they seem to be more time sensitive.

In the mean time my seven year old attacked a dog with his face while visiting his mom at ex-in-laws. And I haven't slept in three days. So I am sorry, I didn't get it all out, besides I wanted to look at some pictures and try to identify who I really sat next to Saturday night.

Look forward to your update when you are able to get to it.

Hope all is well with your seven year old. That can be scary stuff.

The guy was feeling me out all night. The big thing is tactfully replacing the benches in the stadium proper. That is the way I would say it. I bet they would like to take the North side down to show more Touchdown Jesus, but I don't think that is in the plans, but they will go up to replace the seat loss from below, especially on the south side of the stadium (toward Eddie Street). More later. MOST IMPORTANT POINT. THEY ARE PUTTING THOSE THAT WILL BE MAKING THE PLANS IN THE SEATS TO SEE AND PRESERVE THE ATMOSPHERE.

I really liked the fact that it wasn't a typical arch/eng project removed from the lunch bucket!

More later.

1. I'm sorry about your son, and I hope he makes a quick, and full, recovery.

2. You clearly made it sound like this guy that you sat next to had given you some inside information about stadium expansion plans, so please spare us what you think, and tell us what the guy said. This was, presumably, some random stranger sitting next to you at a football game, so just tell us what he said, or don't mention it all.

3. You also gave the impression that you spent some time with multiple recruits, AFTER the game, to the point where you were able to carry on a substantive conversation with more than one of them. This is pretty hard to believe.

So really, you shouldn't be surprised if someone suggests that you might be making a bunch of stuff up.

Again, I hope your son comes out of this with nothing more than some unsettling memories.

Thanks, Buster. I now realize that I have no recollection of the game at all. After my unfortunate head butt with a radiator or dresser, I woke up Sunday looking like SoCal_NDfan's cat.

Did anyone else who had to work on Sunday unintentionally annoy their co-workers and their wife/gf/fiances because they were in such a good mood they kept whistling the victory march, damsha bua, and rakes of mallow?

They need a jumbo package like Stanford has. Put the ten biggest and strongest men on the field and have Nix run it in

Shotgun formations will do that... not to mention how many years it's been since they had a fullback.

What happens behind the OL is kinda irrelevant. The 4th and goal was stopped because of penetration, not being in the pistol. What really sucks is that Tommy isn't trusted to do even a QB sneak apparently...

I was spoiled having BQ at QB when I was a freshman, but I still take for granted "any down and 1". It seemed like Brady would just dive the length of his body at will every time we tried it. Again though, Tommy is not the specimen Brady was so you'd hope we'd have plays to gain those final feet.

The penetration was what stopped it short, but the play call is what allowed the degree to which the penetration impacted the play. If the QB sneaks it under center the blitzing DB doesn't impact the play one bit. Also, dragging the coverage on TJ towards the play and then having no one block anyone from that side of the ball is an issue, that again, is furthered by having the QB and RB start the play further from the line of scrimmage than they would under a more traditional fourth and short call. Pretty basic stuff there.

They ran that play two, maybe three times in a row that series, I forget. Either way, anyone who has played Tecmo Super Bowl for Nintendo could snuff that one out rather easily.

I'll put it this way, I watched the entire Bears game and didn't give two shits what happened.

I am beginning to think the backs hitting the crease is the biggest problem with our running game. Not the linemen up front.

Like someone said, it is like Amir is trying to prove he can run inside and just hits it. If that kid learned to see his crease, in the SC game alone he would have had 75+ yards each carry he had, had a crease to hit.

GAIII missed two really big ones, because he is trying to stop the urge from stepping sideways, and as I remember, Cam even missed one on that second down in the opening drive.

He went right up the middle, but I could see the crease slightly east of where he hit, from my seats. He could have walked in. No I will fix it myself; "I could have walked in!"

This thread is a lot like that movie a perfect storm, but no marky mark and George Clooney. A ND win symbolizes the boat while we the fans symbolize the wave. Except we the wave didn't get kill Clooney and marky mark. Yes I'm drunk if you're wondering

You were not alone....

Maybe this is a dumb question, but does anybody know: do they let recruits into the locker room -- before or after games, and/or at halftime? How much of that stuff do they see?

They used to let recruits in the locker room before and after the game back in the day. Don't know about today.

Haha crazy. I believe he played in the second half against us, after Rogers and Lee both left the game.

Southern California loses LB Dawson, RB Davis for the season - CBSSports.com

By Tom Fornelli CBSSports

Southern California has lost a pair of important players for the rest of the season.

Coach Ed Orgeron confirmed that the seasons of linebacker Lamar Dawson and running back Justin Davis are over after both suffered injuries.

Dawson suffered his knee injury during practice on Tuesday while Davis suffered an ankle injury during the team's loss to Notre Dame on Saturday and he's already undergone surgery on the ankle. Dawson will require surgery on his knee as well, but he needs to wait until the swelling goes down.

Dawson had 35 tackles, 3½ for loss, and 1½ sacks for the Trojans in seven games this season. Justin Davis is USC's second-leading rusher with 361 yards and six touchdowns.

While losing two players like this would impact any college football team, the impact on USC is even greater considering the depth issues the Trojans have thanks to NCAA sanctions.

It was thanks to cheating, obfuscating, and a lack of institutional control Tom. Southern Cal isn't a victim; they were the perpetrator.

Lots of banged up people from the ND game ... on both teams.

Damn shame about Dawson's injury.

Im not used to this feeling. The way it been the last few years is we beat USC then we wait nearly a month before we play again now we beat USC and have to get ready for a bunch more games to try and still make something special out of this season....good problem to have though.

Daddy Papadakuis sp? ( Yeah the same one who ran THAT restaurant then has the nerve to cry foul about the SC probe) Was on local radio today saying Stanford last year and SC this year is why the PAC 12 should make sure Catholics aren't on their officiating crews... Because they clearly blow games or the Irish.. Stanford would have beaten Bama... It's NDs fault...

Really. Lol

I didn't hear that but it is great. Did the guy happen to mention that SC's O-Line was gassed and over-matched...so holding was the only option they had? And some of those guys that were holding might have been Catholic.

Even when his own son called him out and said, one: Stanford would not have won the game on that call and two: None of the SC calls were in any real dispute he still went off on a nutty spree over it...

I'd be pissed if anyone took the clown serious... Including his own family
