I am curious to see if he comes here and wraps it up or if he is still going to see Florida one more time

As of this morning he was still planning on trying to visit UF again. I am willing to bet the staff gives him a hard line.

Not that Kelly hasn't been known to bust a few heads, but this guy scares me more:

Anzalone's team has their biggest game (so far) of the year this Saturday. Last regular season game of the year vs the cross town rival Catholic high school. Both teams are 9-0 but Wyo (Alex's team) will be heavily favored. Ranked #2 in the state in AA.

Should be encouraging that he is visiting ND this weekend

I would think watching Manti handle OU..on the road....Would be enough to get this kids juices flowing. You wanna play in THOSE kinds of games? Can't do it anywhere but ND.

If that didn't do it...then I wish him the best. Because he's gone.

One thing that makes me feel better about the drama here is that he will EE wherever he goes. Even if he picks UF at the last minute, we will still have a few weeks to full-court-press somebody to replace him.

Sorry, but not really. All of FL's big games are confined to conference play. Which takes away the special matchups that you get with an ND schedule.

Just wait until we start playing UT in 2014.....talk about a dynamic matchup.

It's not the same at all.

They do play in big games but what does it say when Florida is ranked #2 playing one of their biggest conference rivals who is ranked 10th and Gameday shows up at our top ten clash against a non-rival.

And let's be honest....We're ND. No SEC team has the kinda history we do. Even ALA. We play all over the country, good teams.

Gators haven't left the state of Florida to play a non-conference game since 1991, and that was a 38-21 loss to Syracuse.

Alex Anzalone visiting #ND unofficially the day after the Pitt game. Family had a very good talk with Diaco last night, this is huge visit

You know you've arrived as an IE poster when you beat GITF to the board with a tweet. Lol. (kidding, even a blind squirrel finds a nut in a forest now and then)

Misleading. Easy answer. Their game = CBS... Our game = ABC. Of course they were gonna go to our game.

What about our game against Stanford-NBC?

Gameday does CBS games every year.

What about it? You were talking about FLA haha.

But since you asked the other options that week were TX vs OU and LSU and SoCar. They went to SoCar the previous wk so they don't usually cover teams back to back. And I think it was more about how ESPN is coming back to the ND campus.

But back to your original comment I think they've done 3 Fla games already this yr. I could be wrong, feel free to fact check me since it is political season.

Your not including Bowl games obviously, but that is interesting.

Of course Bowl games don't count...teams travel all over the country for those.

But during the course of a regular season...how many SEC teams travel to play meaningful opponents? Especially where the weather is bad.

And you have to ask Alex...Does the SEC travel to Ireland? Or play at Soldier Field? Or Fedex?

Well, Alabama usually schedules a good (but beatable) team for the first game of the season. Clemson/Penn St./Michigan all away from Tuscaloosa.

My Stanford/NBC was in reference to Gameday doing games outside of their own network which was to your post about them doing out game because it was ABC.

I have no idea how many Florida games they have done but ESPN does have reason to show up in SEC country, especially for a big game like Florida/Georgia.

I just think when ND is in the top 5 they are the ticket regardless.

I believe Dennis Dodd had a tweet the other day about ND winning is a columnist's dream because you know you are going to get read. No different with tv coverage.

EDIT:
Dennis Dodd ‏@dennisdoddcbs

Ah, Notre Dame. Columnist gold mine. You know you're going to be read.

And politics are my least favorite thing so no fact checking here :D

A & M, Tennessee & USCe no way they were going to do the UGA game right after the USCe game. If Florida & FSU have one loss at the end of the season they might do that game.
