I would be shocked...not surprised, but shocked...after the whole academic scandal why they would go after one of the most unethical coaches in the country. With the microscope the school is going to be under, this seems like a huge mistake for them.

Yep. They need David Cutcliffe from Duke.

The crowd, in my opinion, is hit and miss. They weren’t loud at all against New Mexico. Then they were really loud at some moments against UVA. They’ll probably be loud as hell against USC.

Yeah, but that's kinda how things are regardless of fanbase.

Fact is that the crowd cheers up and down to the competition.

You think Georgia fans are loud as hell when they play Murray State? Or LSU fans are loud for Georgia Southern?

The bigger the opponent, the louder the atmosphere. Now, I think NDS is generally deader than most other big time fanbases when the opponent underwhelms and particularly for day games.

Wow! I guess I get it, but that number seems large. Maybe we are starting to get respect

USC has been a bit of a dumpster fire, but this is a rivalry game. I almost expected the line to be further the other way honestly. Just hope we don't play to their level and we come out strong. Embarrass 'em.

FUSC!

I think this ND is better than last year. I think we beat them by 14+ and it doesn't really feel close after the 1st half.

An interesting thing to consider:

- USC is 19-3 at home under Helton. Their three losses have been by a total of 11 points (Arizona State 35-38, Cal 14-15, ND 17-24).

- USC is 10-12 on the road under Helton. 9 of those 12 losses were by double digits.

USC has been really bad away from the Coliseum.

Hopefully we don’t let the usc QB whoever it is to go 20-22 in the first half before making adjustments. Would like to see 3 usc ints and two sack fumble recoveries by our D. Some of our guys have really started to figure it out on D. Hoping we just keep on scoring and dominating SC with our depth and physicality. Georgia did nothing but talk about how physical ND was. Our offense needs to be balanced and I want to see Book use his feet to keep them off balance. We let usc keep it too close last year. We win this weekend and we end up number 6 or 7 in the pools depending what else happens. I also think we destroy UM. Need to watch out for something sneaky out there since we are everyone’s Super Bowl.

I wouldn't touch this game. Have no idea what QB shows up and have no idea if the WR's have a fire lit under their azzes. Their offense is too talented and unpredictable to mess with. Hard Pass.

ND 33 - 24

The Db’s better be ready to play. And we are gonna need to get pressure or their passing game could make this interesting.

usc's game plan is throw it in the general direction of their 5* WR's and pray they come away with it

Needless to say but very needed to say.
USC will come with everything they have.
They will be prepared and we should be prepared.

On the other hand, When will the ESPN guys and everyone else being paid by them, say we are better then they expected.

Curiosity kills the 'millennials every time.

Hard to throw it up when you're getting pummeled and harassed by a better than average D line.

This game will probably be played in the 40’s. I hope USC comes off the bus dressed like Miami did for the Sun Bowl in 2010

Good point. This helps explain the 10.5 point spread.

Any frequent flyers know of the best way to watch the game while on an international flight? I subscribe to Youtube TV so I hope that the onboard wifi will work well enough for that.

Fink is Rees 2.0

Dude's got a noodle arm but just heaves it up to see who catches it.

They are expected to have Kedon Slovic back for the game. He's got a better arm than Fink. Not as good as Daniels, who of course is out for the season.

Good pass rush will be the answer vs Slovic. He can pick apart a defense if he's got time.

Is that all? Want a side of a punt and FG goal block for 14 points as well?

In all seriousness this pass rush has been scary good, especially since UVA, and I hope they bring the heat early and often to get the crowd into it and shake the nerves of the young USC QB(s).
