I love the night games. Could be because everyone is drunk and/or the "older folks" don't like them so they don't go, but the crowd is electric.

I was there in 2015 and last year against scUM and two of the best crowds I've ever witnessed.

Hey, now. I've said it before, don't put it all on old folks. This old guy stands and yells with the best of them. I put Koon to shame.

Yes, both of those games were electric. Especially USC after Kizer hits Fuller on the first play.

Now get off my lawn.

#1, obviously I meant "old in spirit" which CLEARLY, you're not.

Thin in middle
In the days since Jordan Iosefa dislocated his kneecap at the start of fall camp, an already thin pool of healthy USC linebackers has grown ever thinner.

Linebacker Solomon Tuliaupupu remains out with a foot injury. Hunter Echols, who missed the last two practices, and Elijah Winston, who has worn a boot on his right foot in recent days are both suffering from turf toe. Winston’s case is more serious, Helton said, while Echols remains “day to day” and could possibly return for the scrimmage on Saturday.

Outside of Iosefa’s injury, which is expected to hold him out for at least the first few weeks of the season, the majority of those injuries are mere “bumps and bruises,” Helton said. But the totality of linebackers moving in and out of the lineup has tested the Trojans’ depth at the position.

Some have taken advantage — the most notable of those being freshman linebacker Ralen Goforth, who, after entrenched senior starter John Houston, has taken the most reps in the middle of USC’s defense.

Ugh. Helton's odds of surviving this season just decreased significantly.

Don't think we'll ever be capable of really pulling this off. Too many blue hairs are completely disconnected from news like this, and then there's the color problem. We carry too many colors: navy blue, gold, green, kelly green, that lighter madonna blue (hate it), and we've even seen other shades of colors in The Shirt like blue-greys. We're like a friggin' kilt when you look at the stands on game day! Oh, wait...

I mean they could always hand out green towels at the gate to help the cause...

Eh, but that's mostly the student section. When you go back and watch the video the crowd isn't nearly as impressive and uniform...but to be fair, that game is probably the best job we've done at presenting one color.

Remember when we beat Michigan with our backup QB and no RB1? Good times.

My wife and I will be doing our part. Bought two long sleeve green ND shirts for this one.

I thought it was better than a lot of us thought it was going to be, but you're right. Our "Green Outs" are nothing compared to a PSU white out or a Nebraska red out, for example.

Ever since the scUM game last year I've made green my official ND color. It's all I'll ever wear to a game again. I wish other fans would make the same commitment but like everyone has pointed out, there are just too many colors to choose from and there are plenty of our fans who aren't connected enough to even be aware of the green out games.

Jack was at the Georgia game. He sees what home field advantage can do.

No reason at all he can't hand out a green towel at the very, very least.

He's a smart guy but an uncommitted AD in regards to football, IMO.
