No, Tuitt hasn't been anything special all season.

Let's see you line up against him and, oh yeah! Say that before the first snap!

I strongly feel Tuitt is special even when he may not be playing so "special."

But he has been playing special for sure since ASU. Check out some film. There are tackles that need their mommas out there.

Don't be that guy.

And I'm not saying that Tuitt isn't a special player... Dude is awesome when he's on and a surefire first rounder. But he hasn't really generated a pass rush (our team hasn't) with any consistency all year. So I'm not expecting him to have this incredible game that just hasn't been the norm this year, for whatever reason.

True that. I'd almost rather keep it that way if it ensured we'd keep Tuitt for one more season. Let him get in great shape and have a great senior year next year.

Most teams are planning around the d-line, getting the ball out of the qb's hands asap, except ASU and SC. We saw their effect there.

I'll be there. Third game ever, super pumped. I'm 2-0 by the way, including the miracle against UCLA in '05.

Sad to think what the defense would have been like had Tuitt - Nix - Day been healthy all year. Hard to believe they only played in 23 snaps together.

Not all season, only since Sheldon Day's initial ankle injury.

It's starting to hit me...My last game as a ND student. It's amazing to think I came in with Tommy and those guys as a freshman and here we are now, the program much different from when I watched it under Weis.

Gosh that opener against Purdue in Brian Kelly's debut seems like it was yesterday...

I wonder if Tommy also feels it was amazing coming into ND w Ignats and those guys as a Freshman. Anyway, if you're in the student section, I'll be sitting pretty close to you. Let's get a win.

The worst part of that is the wind. Not only does it make it biting cold, but it makes it soooooo much harder to throw the football, which is really how I think BYU is vulnerable.

I wish people would stop saying shit like this...

"teams plan around..."

WHO CARES!!!! The great ones still get it done!

And it shouldn't matter if fucking Navy, PITT, or PUR "plan around" our best players.

Jeez...some of you are just insane.

Considering that we are Notre Dame, and they are BYU....it shouldn't matter.

But I see what you're saying.

I guess there is two ways to look at that. BYU and throwing will change more to running, which isn't good for us.---Nix out and Kona really can't be at full health if he had a high ankle strain. That leaves Day who has been injury comprimised for two years now, not all the time, but enough. Not great news.

Now, the good thing about harder throwing conditions is that we may run more. And that allows us not to have Tommy Turnover throw more bad interceptions. Or at least the likelyhood that he will have less chances to throw in double coverage, be innacurrate, can't escape and throw a crappy pass. That may work out to our advantage.

Still will be a very hard game. One I hope we rise our energy level and concentration.

this weather talk is an excuse.

when the game is over win or lose no one will say the weather had anything to do with it. It will come to down to making stops, taking care of the football, and converting points.

Going to the game, leaving at 8 am tomorrow. Taking a bus with 50 other people with a keg and various amounts of liquor being passed around in route. Its safe to say to just look for the drunk guy who at some point in the game has taken his shirt off, chances are you will find me
