yes...it was discussed some pages back...all about the $$ and byu needing to play us, having hard time filling up their schedule and we were having issues w/ scheduling so i guess they said they would play us home/home.

I really hope that Coach Kelly forgets his steady-Eddie mantra (which is generally a good thing) for this game and just lets it rip.

They are going to need emotion to win this game. They need to all be playing like bezerkers.

I would argue that football is very much emotional and can be used as motivation on the field. If it's not emotional, I'm not sure how you can care about the game. This guy knows what I'm talkin' about:

Love Nix, but he's had nowhere near the impact that Teo had last year. Plus Manti was our "(insert whatever Hawaiian word was used when the PA announcer called him to the field senior day last year)".

Manti was an emotional leader on and off the field, and one that came at a perfect time for this team. We really could have used a leader like that this year. I'm not sure we have an emotional leader like that on defense. I understand if Tuitt and Nix didn't want to be captains this season, but it would have been nice if one of those guys had been I think. It seems like the front 7 on a whole this year is a more quiet bunch, maybe with the exception of Big Lou to an extent. That's probably why Bennett ended up as Captain of the D.

afte watching the video for the Air Force game it seems Spond was set to be a captain on D before he had to retire..

We either win 31-20 or lose 31-10. I really have no idea which ND team will show up. It is mind boggling to me that we lost to Michigan and Pitt and navy played us close. However, we have beaten 3 top 25 teams USC, Arizona St, and Michigan State. The insane inconsistency is driving me nuts. I feel like when we are on we are a top 15 team but when we are off we could lose to anyone!

You mean it all depends on which Tommy Rees shows up. If he's playing well and establishing long scoring drives all will be well. If he's going three and out and mixing in some turnovers it will be a long day. The defense isn't healthy enough to endure short fields and a losing time of possession.

Establish the run, play action passes, take the pressure off the QB position. It'll work!

Nothing has gone according to plan this season with ND, so expect them to absolutely blow BYU out

People said the same thing about Pitt, despite the history over the last 10+ years with every game being decided by 1 score or less.
