Can Bob Diaco take the stand? I'd like to hear his philosophy on defense.

Haha apparently.

I think originally it was supposed to be alternating home-and-home for 6 games or something like that... and then when stuff started getting crazy with our scheduling we were like "hey, how about playing in South Bend again?" And they were OK with it. BYU has been fighting hard to fill their slate as an independent and it hasn't been super easy for them.

Also... this is pretty neat: BYUtv Airs Special Celebrating History of Like-minded Faith-based Football Rival University of Notre Dame

Random, but didn't BYU play at ND last year? How come we didn't play at Provo this year?

I'm guessing it has to do with their TV situation. I don't think ND has any desire to have a game on BYU's channel.

Incidentally, I live in Southern Indiana and I somehow have this channel in my cable lineup. I wonder how that came about?

When was the last time it snowed during a game?
Which team would 24mph winds, and snow hurt the most?

since we like to throw 30+ i would say us...however according to what was said at the presser today, looks like we are going to try to run

I definitely think ND would be hurt more. BYU can stick with their running game which is pretty darn effective. ND has not been able to run block well all year, and is going against a stout BYU defense. Any vulnerabilities Tommy might have been able to exploit in the passing game would be largely negated by 20+ MPH winds and rain/snow.

If everyone is healthy and plays (good possibility after today's updates) we are better off trying to stop the run than the pass IMO. there is some give and take with the situation. I would rather throw the ball in snow and wind that rain and wind.

While snow IS probably more forgiving than rain when it comes to passing the ball, I wouldn't say it's still an ideal situation. The ball comes out like a rock sometimes when it's cold out, and I've heard receivers compare the ball to a brick when they try to catch it. Still, wind is usually considered a bigger factor than rain or snow for most QBs. It's difficult to accurately pass deep in the wind, unless you can throw on a rope.
