Hey don't look now, but Navy is 4-1 with a remaining slate of USF, Tulane, and @UConn. UConn and USF are awful. Tulane is #26 in the AP, so could be ranked when they roll into Annapolis.

What I'm getting at is, if Navy gets to 7-1, we might be looking at the first ranked Notre Dame-Navy matchup since, what, the 60's? How cool would that be?

A kid that went to my high school, I went to school with his dad, has been in beast mode past few games for Navy. He scored 4 TDs yesterday. Win or lose I will be pulling for him to play well against the Irish.

Short of a meltdown, Book will beat Navy. I think Kelly has them figured out, and Navy has been on the decline. They have just one loss this season, but it was by two scores to Memphis. Memphis is a decent team, but that's the best team the Midshipmen have faced by a looong mile. The rest? Tulane, USF, Tulsa, Air Force, ECU, and the Holy Cross Crusaders.

Uconn is awful, but I watched Navy blas them last night. Their defense is A LOT better than the past two years. They disguise a lot of up front, stand up D linemen, stunts, fake blitzes, etc. The type of defense that will have Book dazed and confused.
