Not sure if posted yet but Riggs will play on Saturday. Kelly said that he probably won't have the same snap count as previous games but will be out there. I would assume we have Greg Bryant on Punt Return until Riggs is 100% if he ever gets there.

It was mentioned here briefly. Stress reaction was a new term for me. After reading about it some it appears rest is the only Rx. I would sit him out.

NW upset WIS but I don't see that here, especially coming off the ASU loss. Riggs PT against NW is not required but it is essential against UL and USC. After watching Agholor last night we're gonna need four guys like Riggs on the field.

Also, he may not be 100% the rest of the season. As BGIF pointed out the only real solution for his injury is rest which he won't be getting a lot of down the stretch. I agree with others that it might be better to just sit him this week in hopes of getting him closer to 100% for the last 2 weeks.

Yes, 12.2 inches of snow fell yesterday and we will get another 3 or 4 inches today. Idk whens the last time we have had this much snow in the ground in mid-November. For parking, I don't think anything will change unless you are parking on a side street as the snow might make it hard to park. If you are parking in a parking lot, you should have no problem

There wasn't 12 inches on the ground when it started but 22 years ago today it seemed like 12 inches was falling per minute. We were near the top of the old bowl and there were large chunks of that game we couldn't see anything. Great game.

Be safe Irish Nation. Sounds like you got nasty weather there.

ughhh.... getting ready to pack for the trip. pretty cold here in ATL (50/31 tomorrow), but not 31/26 LOL. Haven't had to break out the winter coat in years. hope they are serving hot chocolate. Hoping the road aren't too bad between Indy and the Bend.

We've been on campus since about 10 this morning doing the VIP locker room tour as well as the grotto and other things. Pretty sure I saw Ambrose Wooden coming out of the Gug and Jack when the media room door opened. It's been pretty chilly and windy, but a really nice day. Slight flurries off and on all day. Oh, and Rudy was at Hammes signing his new book or whatever. I'm pretty sure my dad got a little teary eyed walking into the locker room with the lockers prepped with helmets and pads...would recommend that tour if you haven't!

I wish the team, Kelly and all you lucky bastards attending the game all the best. Dress appropriately in layers.

Do not wear ski masks that might muffle cheers. Rely on coat pockets to keep your hands warm – what is the sound of two mittened hands clapping?

Allow for panic stops while driving. Maintain added space and tap your brakes ... often, as needed. Be patient. Expect and account for slowdowns and delays.

Studies show that alcohol consumption doesn't warm but accelerates hypothermia.

Don't listen to me.

Have a great time! Just stay intact. And do no harm.

I have a very bad feeling about this game. It's Northwestern's Super Bowl and the conditions are going to be crap, which favors running the ball and I think our run defense looks suspect with Morgan at the helm. If it was 70 and no wind then I don't see how their DBs run with our WRs.

Only thing reassuring to me is that you know Golson & Co. are looking for a bounce back game and won't be "looking ahead" after that performance in Tempe. So I think we pull it out, but I wouldn't be surprised to see NW throw the kitchen sink at us in the first half and make the game tough.

Taking the day to go hiking near Toledo with the old man. Ice and snow make everything look different from summertime, so I'm hoping it stays brisk! I want to see an iced up waterfall.

NW already had their Super Bowl versus Wisconsin.

NW has the 114th Ranked Rushing Attack, 109 yds/game, 2.88 ypc. They had -9 yds on 34 attempts last game against Michigan.

NWs Rushing Defense isn't very good either. In their last 4 games, all loses, they only gave up 3.1 ypc to Minnesota and 2 Rushing TDs, Nebraska averaged 5.3 ypc and had 4 Rushing TDs, Iowa average 4.8 ypc and had 4 rushing TDs, and inept Michigan ran for 4.2 ypc and scored their only TD on the ground.

NW has allowed 14 rushing TDs all season but 11 have come in the last 4 games.

The wind is only supposed to 5-10 mph, Golson can pass in that. And if the weather is too bad to pass, Elmer and Folston won't have to worry about handling the blitz. They can focus on plowing down the field.

I just hope we actually play like this team is beneath us and we win comfortably. I understand y'all's confidence and I know we can win but too many weeks this season have I read stats about how inferior a team is to us and how we should beat the shit out of them and they gave us the game of our lives.

Shouldn't the new turf eliminate the poor playing conditions? I don't see how our speed advantage is gone because it's cold. There shouldn't be accumulated snow on the field. Plow before game if necessary, current forecast is 1 inch snow by midnight so field should be fine.

The gf and I are on campus. If you see a short guy with a home #5 jersey and a Verizon string backpack on, kick me.

Poor traction yes, I'm more worried about how cold/wind can make it difficult to throw and kick the ball, which leads to more "freak" plays.

I still think we get it done, but I think it might be hard to win comfortably.

I'll kick you simply for wearing a string backpack. Ha

That thing filled with a pint of pucker and a bottle of Boones Farm?
