The South Bend Tribune is constructing a website called ND Insider Premium, an advanced, more in depth look into the program and some behind the scenes stuff.

Well, I picked up the Magazine preview and the content is off the charts so far. In depth interviews so far with Jaylon, Coach Kelly that I have read. Some defensive "behind the scenes" on Van Gorder and info that I haven't seen published anywhere else yet.

Snippet on a two minute drill with Coach Kelly: If you could redo one coaching decision at ND, what would it be....I would have kicked the field goal in the Tulsa game.

Damn.

The mag is at The bookstore and they will be releasing the website for subscription in the next few weeks. They did a nice job from what I have read so far.

He then BLOCKED me. I swear that is the entire extent of the conversation. I am in utter shock at how childish of a move that is. Why even engage one of your followers on Twitter if you are just going to block them after they make a perfectly reasonable point...Grow up.

Well then. Still, having the career record for starts at ND alone makes one a college standout IMO.

He was the #1 OL recruit and proceeded to be a member of an OLine that gave up 53 sacks in 2007. He was an average player that started every game because we had like 5 OLinemen due to Ty. Caling him a standout insults the true standouts like Golden.

WOW...seems a little weak. I remember Sam very well, and if we are being honest, he made strides between years one and two, and then the progress kinda leveled off. I don't think he was a standout, unless you were watching the team walk to the field. I think he was pretty good at times, but not consistently.

Whether he was a standout or not isn't really even the point though. I'm just pointing out how much of a baby Eric Hansen is.

Sam Young is considered a major (Notre Dame) bust by anyone with half a brain. Had a lot of potential/ability as evidence by his #1 style ranking out of HS and tenure in the pros. He was so bad coming out of college that they literally wrote articles about having to teach him how to play OL from scratch when he got to the NFL.

Calling Sam young a "standout" is like calling Seantrell Henderson a "productive college player."

Of course Sam wasn't a Ronnie Stanley, but he was solid. And he was highly recruited.

Hansen, by profession, was trying to make the story sell. You can't really blame the guy, he's doing what he has to do.

This was on Twitter, not IE. You only have 140 characters to say what you want to say. I did present the fact that he was on the worst team in ND history at the time so starting every game isn't that impressive. My next fact would have been that his OLine gave up 53 sacks in 2007. My next fact would have been that he was the #1 recruit but a 6th round pick. Etc. etc. etc.

The issue is that Hansen chose to engage me and I didn't say anything offensive at all and he blocked me rather than just not respond.

Not only is it immature, but it's bad business. If I was thinking about subscribing to NDI he just lost a customer.

Standout = exceptional (look up the definition)

Like I said before, calling Sam Young a standout is a slap in the face to true standouts like Golden and Mike Floyd. How would you feel if you busted your ass and performed at an exceptional level only to be lumped in with the likes of Sam Young? I have nothing against Sam Young personally and he was an okay player but he wasn't a standout so I called the guy out.
