As a CT guy, I of course have affection for the old (and new) Big East teams. Plus, I'm a sports egalitarian in that I prefer titles to be spread around and therefore root for the team that wins or has won less often. So I pulled for Nova.

That said, the officiating definitely didn't hurt Nova...but they made some remarkable shots. UNC was missed a bunch of layups...the four-point swing at halftime stands out.

You go to freakken in Fordham, you no longer need be restrained by you intercity allegiance! But for real man just cheer for the city. I was at both the Temple campus bar and student center tonight and I would say 85% of the students were cheering for Nova.

If you can't cheer for Nova winning, maybe you can cheer for UNC losing. Biggest scumbag program in sports, worse than SEC football programs.

UNC represents everything wrong with college sports so rooting for them tonight was hard. I just can't root for Nova idk ive disliked them for all of my short life and that couldn't change for one game. Before college I went to 5+ SJU games a year. Shit I remember watching Jameer and Delonte West tear it up. I actually considered Nova a lot because it is a very good school but in the end going to college 10 minutes from my high school. If it was Temple instead of Nova tn, I may have rooted for them. I've been surrounded by Nova fans in catholic school my whole life and it's taken its toll haha. Most of the kids I know at SJU feel the same way.

Jay Wright had a great game plan. Nova turned NC into a three point team which is not their strength.

Happy to see a cheating school go down. I know there has been articles and discussion, but I feel UNC hasn't felt the wrath of the media like some schools. Seems the press has given them some leeway.
