I hear you. they have more talent than us, but that doesn't automatically win you the game.

And as much as Meyer with a month scares me, we would have elko for a month. that gives me confidence against a predictable osu offense.

Yep, Elko is shutting down good offense. Literally. Look at USC’s season stats and what we did to them. Look at NCSU’s and what we did to them. We are/he’s is shutting teams down, period.

Wimbush just said that they treated this game like they were preparing for Miami of Ohio or Temple. These two teams really don’t like each other

Loooooooooove it. I love when teams talk a big game and then get their shit pushed in.

Miami's defense is legit. their offense is a work In progress to say the least, but I like their chances at home next week.

You’re on one, and I love it, but so was NCSU’s and we took it from them. I’d be shocked if we didn’t do the same. They’re Miami. They’ll crumble to our game eventually.

I'm talking about their game a giant Virginia tech dude. I think we beat Miami, but I like Miami's chance at home against tech with that D.

All that shit talking by NCSU just made our guys wake up. We were a little sleepy early on, and they just kept doing it. That just brought out the lion. And he puts you to sleep.

Coming into this week I was neutral to NCST. Now...f**k that team and that fan base. A completely delusional lot. I wish we would have pounded it in at the end there and hung 40 on them. So glad we got over 300 yards on the ground.

They haven’t beat a team by more than 8 points in a month. Despite not playing a ranked team. VT beat UNC 59-7 last week and Miami almost lost to them this week. VT is ranked #13 right now. Miami better worry about this coming week before thinking about ND.

I'm literally only talking about next week (vtech)...

And I like their defense too (shocker). I think their D will be 3rd best we see all year. offense doesn't impress me though.

Wut? I’m talking about next week. I think that is a tough as hell game for them and I gave you my reasons why.

Your last sentence was confusing and made it seem you were talking about the nd game the whole time.

my bad.

Anyone else love seeing Chase knock his defender down, and clap in his face?... Causing the defender to shove him in the face?

I know taunting is taunting, and it COULD cost us, eventually... But damn, I love that kind of trash talking. That reminds me of 80s/90s NBA stuff.

I'm all for this attitude!

I could also see a bullshit bump for Miami and Wisconsin on the basis of "undefeated matters." But if that's the case it won't matter because we play Miami obviously and Wisky will get stomped in the Big 10 championship game.

I don’t think the second point is that obvious because I think both OSU and Penn are wildly overrated this year. But that doesn’t really matter, an undefeated Wisconsin at the end of the year is probably good for us.

I guess I want to know if people think this team is championship good. The rest of the schedule will determine if we are top 4, but the talent gap in that group has been obvious during the playoff era.

Can Notre Dame win this year or do we need to pray this staff and mentality hang on for a while so the theoretical best team comes together?

I say it every week. This team is getting better every week and I love their mental makeup. I see no reason why this won't continue.

The coaching staff is doing a great job not only preparing the team for the game, but making in game adjustments.

Enjoy the ride fellas, because if we lose another game before the playoffs, it will be because someone played out of their a$$.

Personally I loved that play and that is the swagger this team plays with. Boss move. I didn’t think what he did was taunting but the NCSU defender certainly did. But who cares. We punked those little bros

All that is true. My point is, if Urban Meyer has a month to prepare for us for a playoff game, I would not be feeling too confident. Same with Bama, less so with Georgia.

CBK now has coaches who know what they're doing.

It was definitely taunting.

From 247's NC St. board: "Doug Flutie was competely in the tank for ND due to their Catholic affiliation like FoxNews is in the tank for Trump due to their speed limit IQ affiliation." lol

Edit... nevermind... I guess this NC State poster was joking.

You constantly confuse total defense with DL. Georgia defense is better. that doesn't mean their DL is, and it isn't IMO. and yes, the draft will prove that.

I actually agree with this statement. IMO, the strength of Georgia's defense is their LB group. #3 (Smith), #7 (Carter), and #17 (Bellamy) are all listed as LBs.

The other guy that killed us was #13 (Ledbetter), who actually is a DE. Other than that, I don't remember any particular member of their DL being dominant.

Totally, which is so laughable, as they are the two biggest paper tigers in cfb. Miami hasn’t beat anyone by more than 8 points in like a month and that’s despite not playing a single ranked team.

We’re going to fuck Miami up. Real bad, IMO. They won’t be able to stop us. Adams all day long

Miami is going to lose to VTech, next week, so it won't be as hyped a match as it could be.

Yes, we are going to destroy them. Miami is garbage.

Wimbush is really starting to develop into the complete QB role. Yeah, his mechanics and instincts are still a little goofy, at times, but he's no longer dead-weight in the passing game. As Flutie pointed out, he's starting to see things on the field, and the game seems to be slowing down. Nice.

Our D is legit. I was a serious doubter, coming in to the season. The secondary has really stepped their game up. What's most important, is that the team looks like it's having fun. It's really going to suck when Elko ends up as FSU or Florida's head coach...

Seriously, though, the most impressive thing I saw during this game was Street's squat video. Boy got deeeep, on that one. That squat would be white-lights in competition, and he did it in gym clothes.

To throw just a little cold water: I don't think we are championship good yet. I think we should win out but we still have to do that. If we don't show up for one of the remaining games, this could still be a "what could have been" year.

We need to pray/hope this team stays locked in like this because they honestly look better every week.

I believe, as of now, we are one of the best 8 teams in the country. Everything else is a toss-up until we have to play one of the other 7 best teams in the country. That's when people's strengths are tested and weaknesses are exposed.

I know our special teams needs to improve to be at a championship level and that can be the difference maker against other top 8 teams.

But damn, this is the most incredible brand of ND football I've watched in my lifetime. I can say that with confidence because I'm only in my 30s and didn't get to enjoy the 80s.
