This article on the best 25 movies of 1999 was a surprisingly enjoyable read.

If you grew up in the 80s, you’ll enjoy “The Dirt” on Netflix. While they couldn’t cram the entire book of the same title into a 1:45 movie, they stayed true to stories of Motley Crue since all four members contributed. Don’t let your kids watch it b/c it doesn’t hold back on all the sex, drugs & rock-in-roll.
I was never a fan of the band at all, but yeah, the movie's well done and a good watch. Definitely doesn't hold back on the drugs & sex. I was 20 minutes into it before it finally dawned on me who was playing Mick Mars.

Post of the year so far! I literally laughed out loud.
I watched "Triple Frontier." Good, but not great. I think it needed to push further in a particular direction to get to greatness. It covered a lot of ground: brothers in arms on a morally ambiguous mission, survival in a hostile area, some "Treasure of the Sierra Madre" nods. I think the fact that it's a solid, but muted & low-key movie is both its strength and weakness. It's one of those movies that I enjoyed and can't find serious fault with, but I'll never watch it again.

Yikes.
I watched Clint Eastwood's "The Mule". Not a bad flick.
I enjoyed it too. Gran Torino is still my favorite by miles out of "those" movies by Clint.
