It’s the beers.
25 years of smashing our heads against a wall is what got me drinking in the first place....

Happy we won a NY bowl game... not happy this is were ND is, celebrating their biggest bowl win in 20 plus years in the Citrus Bowl...
Maybe a few beers are talking but that's my honest thoughts right now... half relieved, half frustrated.
Has a running back ever so completely disappeared after putting up such monster stats the first 8ish games?
Citrus Bowl ain’t a bad bowl game thought. While not an NY6 game really talented teams have played in this game in the last several years. I remember a few years ago Bama was in this game in between NC years. Top 5 teams have played in this game a lot. It’s prolly the best bowl outside of the NY6.
I didnt expect to see a 10-3 with NY bowl win. Great season
Josh Adams is the man
QNelson and Mike McG unreal.
Big improvement on D all around.
Very Pleased.

Coney & Tillery balled out. Gotta think they will declare and be fine with a 3-5 round grade.
Isn’t it the highest payout bowl outside the NY6?
Surprised at the less than high attendance.
Cotton and Orange are both NY6

Don't do this to yourself. Surefire way to be permanently miserable.
We just witnessed what is arguably our most successful season since 1993. There was some frustration, but most of it was awesome. Gotta celebrate the good times when they're here. The grass always looks greener elsewhere, and there's no telling what the future holds.
It's a big bowl no doubt... I'm very glad our boys won it... don't twist it... just also frustrated taking the last two decades in...

I would argue that 2012 was our most successful season since 1993. We may have lost the NC game but we were the only undefeated team in FBS and deserved to be in that game. If we had made the playoffs this year but lost either the semis or the finals, it would have still been a successful season. IMO, winning a good bowl game does not equate more success than losing in the NC game.
It still pisses me off thinking about what 2012 could have been. We were so close to playing KSU and winning it all. That was the first season after my Grandpa passed away and it seriously felt like divine intervention at multiple points. I watched the goal line stand against Stanford in person. I remember driving home after the USC game listening to Oregon and KSU both lose. It was pure elation knowing it meant we would be #1, seeing the #1 sign turned on again.
Then the realization set in that it meant we were getting Bama. It all came crashing down.
Huh? Wha...?

That's why I said "arguably". I do think there's a case to be made for 2012, but that flawless record was followed by getting embarrassed by 'Bama in the title game, Teo's scandal, Kelly's dalliance with the NFL, and our recruiting class falling short of where it should have finished.
So if we're defining "success" as (1) a good record; (2) a major bowl victory; and (3) an elite recruiting class, then 2012 doesn't make the cut, and we have to go back to 1993 to find the last season that ended as well as this one.
Point being: if you're unhappy now, after the season we just had, you'll never be happy as an ND fan.
I'm angry. Notre Dame hasn't beaten a major P5 football power for like, at least 15 hours. Boo. Hiss. Fire Kelly and everyone else. We'll never be relevant again. Grumble, grumble.
