If Madden is right about this, Penn State should be kicked out of the Big Ten and NCAA.

Any school that puts sports above protecting children and covered up sex trafficking and organized crime needs to get rid of athletics until they re-evaluate what really matters in life. Paterno should also be kicked out of the College Football Hall of Fame.

Im hearing rumors that some seniors dont want to play the game Saturday. I believe the NCAA has to give PSU the Death Penalty. It is getting out of control.

I really feel like Mark May put it the best I have heard someone put it on CFL. It's just so much bigger than JoePa or football and the students/PSU are really lacking perspective right now. I strongly recommend everyone take 2 minutes to watch this video.

May- Everyone At Penn State Must Go - ESPN Video - ESPN

His timeline makes complete sense and is coming to fruition with the Mark Madden story that just dropped. What's next? How deep is this thing going to go? What will we know in another 48hrs?

I'm also shocked that McQueary still has his job. What a ****ing bunch of scumbags. Sandusky is a human defect and will burn for this.

agreed...well worth it. I have not been a May supporter. I think he enjoyed our pain a little too much...but today I got a different perspective of him. I think his outrage was well placed and EVERY point he made resonated with me...

ESPN announced that McQueary wont be on the sidelines Saturday, due to threats. I can't believe he wasn't fired with Joe?

I'm starting to have doubts this game is going to take place. Anyone else? They've canceled the pep rally for obvious reasons.

Nope. That won't fix anything. It would just punish people who didn't do anything to contribute to the problem (players, fans, restaurant owners, hotel operators, etc.). It won't help any kid that was abused. If they totally clean house (which they SHOULD do), cancelling the season won't hurt anyone responsible for what happened there.

Cancelling the season or folding the program would be an entirely symbolic gesture that would not help anyone. It would only create more victims.

I understand this point. However, I understand the counter point too. Every game they play is going to be a circus. Also, Reggie Bush has nothing to do with kids at USC now, so why are they getting punished? It's not the same issue, but the NCAA punishes the programs and doesn't really look at how people not responsible are affected.

At this point we aren't sure how deep this goes. And beyond economics and the current players, I do think it would help the situation to shut it down. Let people heal. Let the authorities sort everything out without the circus of football. Let the school handle its problems without the circus of football. Let the entire communtiy realize that football is not everything and that individuals are more important. Get back to the basics. The NCAA should let and actually help all players transfer who are interested. No sitting out or anything else.

But I do get the point of view that says it would hurt some things.

Kids at U. of Miami, USC, Ohio St. etc. also worked real hard their entire lives and are dealing with something they didn't have any part of. It happens. Plus, this isn't something that is outside of Penn State football, like something happened in State College. The football program is front and center in this. But people are going to have different takes on it. As for me, I could really care less for college football at this point. All the hero worship, money, and all the other BS that is part and parcel with this crime has made me pretty disgusted. And even though it's a Penn State deal, I don't feel much like watching any teams at this point. It just doesn't feel important right now.

Penn State Issue Wil Get Worse

Penn State Issue Wil Get Worse

Suspect the Penn State mess will only get worse. Like most of you here I pondered how the hell could Paterno, his staff and the Penn State Administration cover Sandusky for so long. Then saw the Mark Madden article that Sandusky may have been pimping boys. Being a retired New York City detective I know that field very well. In New York Organized Crime dominates the teen porn and teen hooking fields. I worked with young teen girls who were drug couriers for the Gotti crownd picking up at the airports and Port Authority Bus Terminal. Yes and they did both still porn as well as video porn besides hooking. So was Sandusky working for Organized Crime ? If so know one observation Organized Crime would dominate Penn State, Paterno, his staff and the whole administration. They are " Aces " at infecting, spreading their influence and taking over. Plus if this in fact is what happened they would also use blackmail threats to keep their pimping venture ongoing. Natch cannot state what I write is true or accurate but the scenario I describe could be real.

Child Pimping

Child Pimping

If you talk to a New York City detective about child pimping they would immediately think what Organized Crime Family are you talking about. Could tell you story after story how the younger mob elements who would take nude pictures of neighbor girls and then blackmail them into whoring and hooking. Often these young girls were sent to John Gotti's Club on 101 Ave. Ozone Park, Queens. New York to take care of the guys. If in fact Sandusky was pimping boys immediately a New York City detective would think is Organized Crime involved. If so not hard to figure why Paterno, staff and Administration covered Sandusky for so many years they were dealing with the forces of Organized Crime who known how to corrupt and intimidate so well.

Disgusting. Former player Stellatella is raising money for Sandusky's defense fund and urging former players to donate. In his comment, he admits that he hasn't read any of the reports and refuses to watch any of the coverage of it because he would "get too upset". What an idiot.

Sam Stellatella, a three-position player in the 1950s, has donated money to Sandusky's defense and urged other former players to do the same.

"I told him he's going to need a million dollars to defend himself," the 73-year-old Stellatella said. "He called me back and said, 'What am I going to do with this money?' I said, 'Use it for your lawyer because you're going to need it.' "

Stellatella sent Sandusky $100. He wrote personal letters to other members of the 1959 Liberty Bowl team that defeated a Bear Bryant-coached Alabama team and asked they also donate. He does not know how much money was raised.

"I know some of the guys sent money," Stellatella told The Associated Press. "Here's the thing, these are horrendous charges against him. But he's still entitled to his day in court. Everybody's prejudged him. He's done horrendous damage to Paterno and (athletic director Tim) Curley and the football program. I don't listen to the news and I don't read the reports of what he did because I would get too upset.

Below is a link to a radio podcast with Boomer Esiason and Craig Carton and their guest via telephone, Karisa Maxell, a journalist student at PSU. Carton absolutely rips into her for her stance on JoePa being "railroaded". I think most if not all of us agree with his sentiment on the horribleness of this incident. He definitely doesn't miss on the "wow" factor.

Mann Act.

Mann Act.

Word has it Sandusky took a boy to a game in Texas where he abused him. If so his action will involve the FBI since he transported a child across state lines for criminal purposes. Might add many of you do know how damn good the FBI guys are doing investigations. I worked New York Organized Crime Families for over fifteen years with two FBI buddies and I can more then assure you they are superb. So whatever has gone down at Penn State they will dig it all up. Almost convinced there has to be a criminally involved reason for Paterno, staff and the Administration to cover Sandusky for so long. Do not believe it was simply whimping out morally. My gut feeling as a old time New York City retired detective something much bigger is about to cook off at Penn State.

I was using those examples as some that show how those not involved still suffer. But as comparisons, there really is none since tattoos and hookers aren't even close in comparison to years and years of raping children. At this point it is unclear who at Penn State was involved or in the know. The interim head coach took over for Sandusky. Did he know anything? There is something more important here than football. I'm sorry if the players worked hard and their season would be gone. Guess, what? It's gone anyway. I guess we can all act like football is important when we watch PSU play, but that's a charade. Maybe sending a message that this matter is serious would change attitudes in this country. Maybe then a HC wouldn't wait 10 days to report his friend, or a grad assitant wouldn't be freaked out by walking in on a local hero doing something more heinous than almost anything. PSU football is dead right now. The NCAA can allow all current players to transfer without penalty. It pales in comparison to what has happened at that school for over a decade.

Penn State needs to start over from scratch to be able to build back this program, if that's even possible.

You know, this story is so horrible, it's tough to even fathom. And even though that's the case, I still see people joking about it or making light of it. Maybe that's the way people deal with it. But part of the problem is that when kids finally get the courage to talk, many adults don't treat it seriously. Many make light of it or are afraid to do anything or think it's not that serious, just "horseplay." Then the abuse goes on. Canceling a football season may start to send the message that this is serious. But that's my take on it.

And with all seriousness, I just hope all parents on this board will be proactive about this problem. There are things we can do to protect our kids. darkness2light.org is a good place to start.

Not canned, was getting death threats and they thought it best he not be around.

Anyone here get the feeling the BOT is kinda fumbling this...whats going on here? How can you fire everyone except McQueery? Makes me wonder what in the hell is going on.

BOT being handcuffed by the AG? Do they need to keep him because of a deal? Seriously, why is this guy still employed?
