His retakes are scheduled for next saturday. Thats the whole reason he isn't coming to the Michigan game so hopefully that has something to do with it.

i don't think his GPA is as important as his ACT score, because i can't remember who was being interviewed but they said something about a player that is on the team came in with like a 2.5 GPA and that ND works extra hard to help kids transition into college life.

It's a balance of GPA, ACT, and also the require courses to get in Notre Dame.

Well, what I meant by balance is that if he improves his GPA, his ACT score won't have to be that high and vice-versa. Also, I think he was missing some of the require classes in order to get admitted to Notre Dame. Perhaps those have been done over the summer.

Which is why he was implying that he'd be joining his "new family soon".

Who freaking knows at this point. I'd love to have the kid but I'm about wore out on recruiting. It happens every single year. Between the 17 year olds playing games and some of the jock sniffers on here who pretend to be know it all's..... Come see me the first week in February and then we'll talk recruiting....until then, it's just speculation and quite frankly boring.

Acamp, I can understand what you are saying. And with what happended last year can really understand. But, I have to disagree a little--I am celebarating. I will again on signing day. But, this means big time kids are looking at us. Big time kids are lining up on wanting to come here. And this leads to more good talk, and studs talking to eacher other and doing their own recruiting. So, I am celebrating that we are relevant again. We are the talk of the nation again. Now in the top 5 or 6 in recruiting thus far. With a coach that knows what he is doing. I am celebrating, we are being talked about in a very good manner. Even if they all don't sign, too many good things going on.

And these kids seem to be friends before they even get here. That is flipping awesome. Also buying into each other, and most likely will work together.

Gotta love it! Go Irish and thanks for the new Golden Domers--you will love being part of the Nation for Life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I couldn't Agree more, call me a little overconfident but I fell way more secure with this class vs last years. I can't explain it but it seems that there is a chemistry and a mission that these recruits have together, they're already proud to be part of ND.

Davaris has been kicking butt on the football field and in the classroom. He will not take the ACT until October so we will have to wait for his commitment a little longer!!!! Notre Dame is still on top...

This kid is a role model to high schoolers. He admitted his mistakes freshman year and overcame them to be successful academically. I can't state enough how much this kid's determination impressess me. Can't wait to see him in blue and gold catching TD's with TJ

Isn't this the recruiting board. When I clicked on the recruiting board, I wanted to see what was up on the subject of recruiting. Hence I clicked on the RECRUITING BOARD. If I don't care about what is going on with regards to Recruiting, I don't click on the recruiting board.

Of all the recruits left, I hope we get this young man. I'm overly impressed with his dedication, and drive to attain the grades and scores he needs. This young man is another Lynch, Tuitt, Grace, Hardy, ............... all superior young men.

(yes, I lit a prayer candle for him)

Good Luck DaVaris, may the Lord be with you!

I really want this guy! He seems like a Notre Dame kind of guy. Nothing in life is easy, and I have had to work hard for everything that I got. To see this young man work so hard to make it to Notre Dame is something special. I wish him the very best of luck and hope he makes it. He would be an awesome addition to this recruiting class and he will be a special player at the collegiate level.

So Davaris's team has scored 208 - 0 points on the season. I guess that's how it works when you have 2 all American WR's on your squad.

the way I look at it is, either we let him commit and join ND and become a threat at WR... OR we let him go to Miami and watch him catching passes against us in a couple years.

We lose players all the time due to admissions.

Ryan Williams of Virginia Tech supposedly wanted to be Irish but didn't qualify for whatever reason. Supposedly.

Jonathan Baldwin supposedly wanted to be Irish but didn't qualify, period. He had like a 2.8 GPA and weak course work, very weak test scores (very low SAT).

etc...

It happens. Let go.

Maybe Davaris can't qualify. Maybe he can't do early enrollment. Who knows.

None of those stories should stop us from publicly cheering for him to make it here. Why should we fans ever let go hopes and dreams for ourselves and our wished-for kids until it actually happens that someone didn't make it?? Everything that I've heard about Daniels indicates that he'd be a wonderful addition to Notre Dame, and maybe even an inspirational story. All good wishes to you, young man. Your dream is our dream too.
