I like this year's schedule because it is not full of shit. ND should probably play Stanford and Duke and Army and Air Force and Navy yada every year. Let apples beat up on apples and oranges wear orange.

Who cares. I just randomly chose ND as my favorite team a long time ago. I loved them all throughout last year's growing pain. I cussed louder than loud. Does complaining about their play make me fairweather? I'm with Timugen on this one.

coachjohnson...I have a question for you because I have read a lot of your posts and you seem very knowledgable!!! If you were coaching these guys and you consistantly got the top OL recruits year after year and after a few year the OL got worse instead of better...would you deserve your job?

Good question, I wouldn't derserve my job, but I would hope that the timing would be better than now or at the end of the season. But If my OL was a concern as a head coach my nose would definitely be the OL coaches business. What bothers me though is that alot of times the prep players rankings are not accurate and we're not always getting what we think. Now grant it we are getting good players, but are they really good? We don't tend to know till they get some reasonable playing time. If an OL player gets on the field and he's a 4 star player and he just happens to suck does that mean our coaches are bad or he was just overrated. We think we know but do we really? There's alot of high school players that really just get lost in the shuffle that make it to D1 and really should have played fcs division. I know that your ready for a new OL coach, and alot of people agree with you, but I would just like to see how they do the rest of this season and next before I would like to see a change. If I hadn't seen these guys work up close, I may feel as you do about getting rid of Latina but that's not where I'm at right now. I just know that we're young and I would hate to lose any coach right now where our program is. I think these guys haven't found their ceiling yet but they will soon. I think the players are comfortable with who they have there, there just trying to find their way. OL did play with more intensity against Purdue.
