Tee Martin is going to get a crack at some point...

Many, many USC fans are unhappy with Tee Martin.

He is the focus of their ire when their Heisman-level QB isn't playing well and/or turns the ball over.

Not much different from any fanbase, though, just interesting to consider in terms of "fans suck."

He might make decent sense for Oregon logistically, and he makes sense for Tennessee in terms of "fit."

Yeah I've heard a bit of that out here...

Isn't Tee's wife an aspiring or washed up singer? I think that was a big reason he didn't go to ut several years ago to be an assistant coach- his wife needs/ed to be in LA.

Hearing Pruitt to the Vols. What do you Bama guys think about him? I've heard he's a maniac.

Most of the remaining jobs are probably a little too "big time" for him right now. A Fresno State or UNLV level job would be a great start for him and he could grab the under-the-radar west coast recruits.

Your posts have stopped inspiring me since you changed your pic.

Fairly surprised Norvell didn't get more of a look from Oregon, or maybe they did and just didn't want to move on it.

Pruitt is a darn good DC. He can recruit with the best of them. But he is also a top notch as* to everyone. I just don't see him being able to successfully build and maintain those necessary relationships with people around the program, boosters, etc.

Fair enough, but I'm on the other side of that. I think it fails miserably. Unless he has some world class assistants in place, and all he has to do is yell weird motivational speeches to his players. He sounds bat shit crazy, to me.

Playoff selection night:

"And the final spot in the CFB playoff goes to..... Arizona State, let's go live to Tempe where we have Coach Edwards waiting... Coach you got the final spot in this year's playoff, how does it feel to be heading to Pasadena to play in the Rose bowl for a shot at a national title??"

Edwards: "Wait, hold on now... so we are going to the Rose Bowl or the playoffs, which is it?"

It's going to be comedic gold, I'm just not sure it results in W's.

Also, 3 schools in 3 years doesn't look very good.

yeah, I hear you on that, but the guy is from Bradenton, FL which is maybe a 4 hr drive from Tally. Nearly his entire family still lives in Florida. Mom, aunts, cousins, uncles, siblings. That's got to have some pull on a guy. He'll be a lot closer to family, couple hundred miles away, not 3,500 miles.

He also grew up an FSU fan as a kid. Dreamed of playing for them but wasn't recruited by any major school as a QB, which is what he was set on playing. That was probably his dream job when he decided he was going to become a coach, and the FSU job doesn't always open up. They've had 2 coaches in the last 40+ years. Just Bobby Bowden and Jimbo. It was probably now or never for him. I really don't fault him.

When I think of Herm, I picture Gunnery Sargent Hartman going off on the guys in FMJ and "getting their attention." I love the guy. Can't wait to see how he does at ASU.

I'm probably in the minority but I think the Taggert hire is a pretty shit one. He definitely didn't prove he can do it on the big stage in Eugene.

Well he was only at Oregon for one year, and I think they were 3-9 the year before he got there. He went 7-5 but his starting QB missed 4 or 5 games I think. Not an amazing first year, but pretty damn solid considering what he was taking over and taking into account the fact that he lost his starting QB for 4-5 games.

Did you see the recruiting class he was putting together at Oregon? Pretty unprecedented in Oregon's history. That man can recruit his ass off. Now that he's at FSU, as long as he doesn't flop and he wins ball games the first couple years, virtually any kid he wants from Florida he will land. It's going to become really hard for anybody to beat him for kids from Florida that he wants.
