One day ESPN will realize that you can change the name from Sports Center to SC6 and change the format, but in sports fans minds, Sports Center (regardless of what time it airs) should always be about scores and highlights.
Right. And SVP's late night show is great, because he does exactly that but puts his own twist on it in an interesting way. People want sports with charisma... the entire Sports Center model was built on personalities packaging sports highlights in an entertaining way. It was fun, and an escape from other shit. If you wanted news or pop culture you flipped to the news or MTV or whatever.
SC6 should be about previewing the upcoming slate of sports and rehashing what happened last night/during the day. People don't tune in to watch an awkward, boring person talk about sports-adjacent topics. Michael Smith absolutely carries her right now. Listen to this monologue:
