the thing with all these barstool dudes is that their humor works best on the original platform they succeeded at - twitter.

But when you put a mic or a camera in front of them then it just isn't as funny.
I love Pat McAfee's little punter specific video clips on twitter but i couldn't listen to the guy talk on a podcast for too long.

Agreed. Podcasts besides PMT you gotta try out and some are good, some aren’t. KFC is good for non sports talk if you’re kind of a negative person lol. They just have different complaints about life haha. KFC is the best talk-show type by far. I like PMT, and then KFC, spitten chiclets, Zero Dark Thirty, and foreplay depending on topic and guest.

Besides PFT, Nate is also the funniest dude on earth to me.

Some guys SUCK to me though. That’s there model though throw things at the wall and see what sticks. Carrabis is awful. Caleb and Young & Happy sucks. A couple others.

KFC is good but the constant hating of everything in the world gets tiresome. I like their new one Failing Upwards. It's literally people that hate everything Barstool lol. It's considered a fashion podcast but the guys are just funny as hell and talk pop culture.

Nate is alright. To me, Donnie is the best. Caleb and Glenn gotta be let go.

I knew ESPN is owned by Disney. I didn't know that Disney's CEO is a conventional Hollywood liberal who wants to run for President. ESPN's political turn suddenly makes sense.
Incorrect. John Skipper (president of ESPN) is far more left-wing than Iger is. Iger is as "liberal" as he needs to be to keep the Disney PR machine churning. For example, Walt Disney World hosts a Gay Days weekend every year. They also have a Christian music festival and a nightly candlelight processional that recounts the scriptural Christmas story every night during advent.

Disney CEO: U.S. taxes are 'too high' and 'ridiculously complex' - Jun. 9, 2016

Never said he was a Sanders type. Bill Clinton said things like that about taxes. In any case, voting now is more about cultural cues and which "side" you are on, not about things like taxes. I've never been to Disney World and never plan to go (I've been to Cedar Point many times, which costs less, from what I can tell has better rides, and is parade-free) but again, Bill Clinton would have no objection to that sort of pandering to Christians. It doesn't mean that this guy not in fact a liberal. And again, this is not specific to ESPN: it permeates a bunch of companies that Disney owns (Jimmy Kimmel's moralizing being another example). Iger might think it is good for business, and maybe it is. But we also know that he has no political objection to any of it.

I don't think you understand how $50 billion media conglomerates work.

The problem too is Jerry Jones never actually said he'd do any of that. It was a made up internet rumor started last year. From what I understand, Jones called some players into the office to have a discussion about it, but he never said he would fine, cut, or bench any player.

I'm not saying she should be fired, but if Jemele Hill wasn't African American and female she would be already gone. I think people make mistakes and that's understandable, but if she was white she would be gone. What kind of standard is that? Again, I'm not saying she should be fired (Although a 3rd strike would certainly warrant it), but on the flip side a white male anchor would have been gone on the first strike...the politics at work here are all messed up. Curt Schilling is a perfect example.

This is brilliant.

Twitter: ESPN is liberal propaganda because Bob Iger wants to be the Democrat nominee for POTUS.

Also Twitter: ESPN is a puppet of the Trump administration. #resist

So the guy with privilege got fired and the woman who has the uphill battle gets another lifeline?

Weird.

Ohh, and she should be fired.

Jemele Hill is the worst.

This. I usually flip the channel when I see her....which is a shame, because I like Michael Smith.....this schtick is just tired though. Remember when ESPN used to be concerned with sports?

ESPN hasn't been any good since they broke up the Big East / Big Ten double-headers on Big Monday back in my day.

Now get off my lawn.

Would that be during Olbermann I or Olbermann II?
