Returning multi-year starter at a position where there is no backup with any experience. The other guys are 1) a 3rd string RB 2) a 4th string WR 3) a 4th string CB and 4) possible timeshare starter at the deepest LB position.
He is either completely uninformed or a liar, those are the only two choices.
Nothing he said was inappropriate, and his voice is shared by others. While I usually lean away from the Guardian, I saw this piece regarding Margaret Thatcher's death and I think it's appropriate to not just politicians but public figures in general.
You can respect an individual as a person, but it's acceptable to be critical of them professionally. There were many people that revered Hugo Chavez when he died, but the majority probably weren't too sad to see him go. It's a poor analogy as Saunders was deemed a good person and the two had nothing remotely in common, but I think you'll understand that perceptions can vary from person to person. It's hard for some people to accept he was a great journalist if they felt strongly different. To say any different would feel like a lie.

ND was like the fourth story on SportsCenter, what the hell are you talking about? We were in between the Ohio State highlights and NASCAR. Scott Van Pelt described EG's arm as a "hand cannon."
Except that is entirely his opinion. The quote about Thatcher was based on the facts. I know that every ND fan thought it was entirely racially motivated, yet there is not any proof of that, and the idea that he enjoyed ND struggling may or may not be true, as well. That is just blinding optimism. And I definitely fell into that camp that thought he was crucifying ND for firing Ty for reasons that were all entirely racially motivated. I think people probably were right about that. However, the idea that he appreciated ND's struggles is ENTIRELY just opinion based on supposed expertise on reading facial microexpressions.
Not remotely the same thing. Facts vs. Assumptions are not the same thing.
And again, this entirely misses the point. You should never have to ask that question, ever. How long did he wait? One hour? How long did they wait before coming out with the criticism against Thatcher? One would think it was longer than an hour.
THAT is the point.
But...I am an expert at reading facial micro-expressions!
You lol, but I watched a YouTube video of a drone race through a stadium one time, and that sh*t is no joke haha. Dudes pilot those things at extreme speeds through tiny spaces and gates like it's nothing.
And the gates and lights are usually set up in a way to make it visually appealing.
I wouldn't tune in every week, but I'd watch it here and there to see what the courses are like at least.
I'm not saying it's not entertaining, but it's not a "sport" that belongs on ESPN.

Dude I've seen Warcraft like video game competitions being covered... While other real sports are on elsewhere...

If Nascar, why not drones?
Yeah I don't understand the e-sport stuff. It would be one thing if it were entertaining and competitive, but I tried to watch one a month or so ago, and they were playing some shooter I've never heard of. They weren't actually battling it out, either. One guy would take point and find the best camping spot. The other team would start on the side that DIDN'T have the camping spot. So they had to come around the corner and try to not get hit by the camper. If they avoided the head-shot, they would swarm the camping location and win, because the camping location was basically indefensible if the other team got past the camper. If the first guy on the other team took a head-shot from the camper, the camping team would swarm with a numbers advantage and win.
It was so dumb. It's exploiting mechanics and poor map-planning, rather than playing the game all-out. Can't do it.

Shots fired.
The Undefeated: Magic Johnson snubbed a lot of qualified black GM candidates by choosing Rob PelinkaThere has been a lot of animosity on the airwaves of ESPN lately about Dan LeBatard's comments on the Lakers hiring of Magic Johnson. Of course these comments were turned into racial comments by certain personnel at ESPN specifically Keyshawn Johnson. In a nutshell Dan said that he didn't think that Magic was qualified for the position because he didn't have any training or previous experience in the GM/President position. He also went on to say the same thing about numerous Caucasian's, like the 49ers hiring of John Lynch.
Thoughts?

LeBatard says the Patriots are racist for having white receivers. Then LeBatard is racist for criticizing Magic. Then Magic is a racist for hiring a white GM. The whole thing is nonsense.
Over the past several years ESPN has lost over 13 million cable and satellite subscribers. Given that each subscriber pays ESPN in the neighborhood of $7 a month for the network, that's over a billion dollars a year in lost revenue that will never be recouped. And those losses aren't stopping. Indeed, every single day in 2017 ESPN is losing 10,000 subscribers or more.
At the same time that ESPN has been hemorrhaging subscribers, the network has also been paying incredible sums of money for live sports rights. In fact, ESPN will pay out $7.3 billion for sports rights in 2017, that's more than any company in America will pay for media content.
