For analyst or a position coach. He's a good recruiter, too. Schematically, I'd take a pass. You're buying low here.
Agreed. He has devolved into a modern day Tenuta

Again, it was a joke based on the decisions of the DCs after the fact. Not a slight towards BK, nor ND itself. The joke being that Freeman would be better off staying at Cinci than to come here and wind up with a shitty HC position or *gulp* unemployed. And honestly, maybe he would be better off at Cinci than coming here, that remains to be seen, but I don't actually believe that coming here as DC is a career death sentence. Just that the subsequent decisions/fates of said DCs is questionable at best, if not just bad.I get your point but how is ND responsible for the (seemingly) bad choices that Diaco, Elko & Lea made under their own free will? ND didn’t run any of these guys out of town...just the opposite.
Diaco wanted to be a HC and evidently wasn’t willing to wait for a better opportunity.
Elko wanted to get paid. When he called ND’s bluff multiple times, Swarbrick had had enough and wished him well in College Station.
Lea as everyone has mentioned just took his dream job. Him putting together even one winning season is still more likely than ND making a close game w/ Bama on Jan 1. Plus, he’s going in w/ eyes wide open and saying “Damn the torpedoes”. Again...free will.

The 2015 Stanford game is on FS1 right now.... I'm literally getting sick to my stomach at seeing how much NFL talent is on that team especially on defense and realizing how atrociously bad that defense was.
Seriously....BVG is still getting paid to coach a college defense smh
Freeman is apparently on the top of the list for Ed O and LSU to replace Bo P.
I think we scored with under 30 seconds to go and I felt like we left too much time on the clock. That’s how bad that defense was.
I think we are promoting from within anyway. Maybe not. We'll see.
Tyler Stockton pitching a shut out to SJSU. Impressive
Bring Zibby back
My all-time favorite player. All-American safety, 3rd round draft pick, boxer, firefighter. Dude was tough as nails.

Sources indicated to FootballScoop that Kelly already has been tentatively working to set up potential interviews with one or more Southeastern Conference coaches
Well that is interesting. I don't know how many of those defenses I would really want to steal guys off of though.
Prepare yourself for Muschamp. He is available and well paid already. Lol.
If they are a top 25 recruiter I don’t even care. Just bring in the dudes and figure it out later.

I completely disagree. It’s why Oregon lost to Oregon State and Cal in back to back weeks. Or Michigan is a dumpster fire. No thank you to a sole focus on recruiting. Sometimes it does not get figured out later.
I was responding to the above comment, that I quoted, saying top recruiter and figure it out later. Michigan and Oregon, this year, are good examples why that is not how it works, at all.
Don Brown isn’t the example as much as the program is but either way. A team that historically recruits in the top 10 and was below .500 is a great example of why recruiting isn’t all that matters.
