I'm the opposite. Playing MSU is boring. UM vs. ND gets the fans/recruits excited.

I disagree.

I love the game and find great entertainment in it, because BK has Dantonio solved like a children's puzzle.

Test that stupid ALL OF THE PRESS COVERAGE scheme with continuous shots down the field, let your WR's be athletes, run the ball to the edge inside the 20.

Tommy Rees beat Sparty in '13 with this strategy. Tommy Rees won a game against an elite opponent by throwing the ball far down field.

I love the Sparty game.

Of course you do... you're from Michiana. Irish fans form Knoxville, North Dakota, SoCal and PA will never know what Michigan week is like when you grow up in that stretch of Catholic Country between South Bend and Chicago. As much as I've always respected the ND-SC rivalry the only time you encountered it in person was tailgating before the game... ND - Michigan was 365 days a year. ND-Michigan football and IU-Purdue basketball are the rivalries that matter in The Region.

Yup. I grew up in The Region and have lost many life long friends over this damn game. I'm not kidding.

I said above I thought the '18 game would be in SB because Michigan's 3 current Sept games are all at home. I didn't even check the rest of their schedule, they already have 7 home games. Unless they've re-engineered their schedule, the '18 game would have to be in SB.

At ND, at MSU, at OSU and open with Arkansas at home. When you add Neb, PSU, Wis at home and NW on the road... That could end up an 80's-90's ND type schedule.

ND replaces the Arkansas game for them, so it'll probably be @ scUM in '18.

Hate. Spots on our schedule are very valuable. Why give one away to a bunch of anti-Catholic B1Gots when there are so many other games that would benefit us more from a recruiting perspective? UM gets far more from this series than we do.

Forgive me, this BS is a on and off every once in a while home and away correct? It's not the re-uping of playing these guys every single year is it??

Is this being reported?

Arkansas getting dumped would be a tasty lil slap in the SEC's face... and most likely very expensive exit for UM. Would show the value of the ND-UM match up.

'19 is a stupid schedule with UM, USC, Louisville, Georgia, VT and Stanford. Not to mention Virginia, Duke and BC who usually give us trouble for some reason. That's a terrible schedule.

I'm trying to remember the last time ND didn't play a terrible schedule.

ND should play in the SEC. Then they have a legit gripe about tough schedules.

It's still three years off but it's brutal for ND that it had to be @Mich in '19 because that schedule is simply a gauntlet but I like getting Michigan at their place in October. By then the Khaki energy drinks have worn off and they have been tested and can't throw their best punches in the middle of the year. Notre Dame is use to playing legit teams week in and week out so this in my eyes is good for the Irish in regards to playing @Mich. The rest of the schedule is just plain crazy that year though.

Assuming he's still there.

Louisville, Va Tech, UVa, Duke and BC? Good luck selling those guys as elite opponents. Hell, no one's sure if Helton will even turn SC around. They are recruiting for sh!t right now.

UM, UGa and Stanford on the road sucks. Doesn't matter if ND played 9 MAC schools at home with those 3 games.

There is not a program in the country that runs that unbeaten... there's only one program that would even try....

Exactly! Three years is a long time especially at the pace that CFB moves with the amount of coaching changes and transfers. Sure that stack of teams looks tough now but who knows in three years.

If Kelly is at ND in '19 I'm confident that year can be an overall positive one on the field.
