I finally got a chance to watch the whole game and not just the extended highlights. Some props/tidbits to give outside of the obvious that's been mentioned a bunch:

-Jayden Thomas is a helluva blocker. Pretty much anytime a run bounced out wide, Thomas was able to seal it.
-Do tips counts as blocks? Because if so Foskey had another block on that short Clemson punt
-Tommy deserves praise for his playcalling and also how he put players in unique positions to win. I was paying extra attention to the line given its dominant performance, and I noticed at least once that he lined up Alt and Fisher next to each other and ran right behind them. Who's stopping that?
-Let's say something nice about Drew Pyne. He wasn't even close to player of the game, but that was probably the smartest game I've seen from him this year. Some good throw aways, his misses weren't awful, and he scrambled when necessary. Really only recall a time or two he held on to the ball too long
-Josh Lugg deserves some serious praise for his performance the last few games. I am not a good evaluator of offensive linemen, but he's playing like a late round pick.
-Ramon Henderson was awesome once he stepped in for Joseph, which was surprising to me. Nothing against the guy, just seems he's been a weaker link in the past of the defense.
-I don't think the officiating was that good either way, but wtf are these refs calling with the PIs on Cam Hart and the lack of roughing the passer on Pyne. Not one, but two refs had a direct clear view and were looking right at Pyne and didn't call it.

Beat Boston College and hang the ACC championship banner.

After rewatching the game, one thing that was mention but probably not enough was how improved the tackling was in this game. Overall, it was miles better than earlier this year but in particular the CBs...wow, they were great in this one. I think Clemson ran out of ideas in some ways on offense as a result. They wanted to challenge the perimeter of the defense, but Hart, Morrison and Bracy just weren't having it. It felt as if Clemson built their whole plan off of their ability to win there, when that didn't happen...they were lost and out of sorts.

Long may that tackling effort continue from the Irish defense.

I think their game plan was to go after Morrison.

I think that's the last time a team's offensive game plan will be to go after Ben Morrison. Even if you subtract the interceptions he had a great game.

Yep. There is one play in particular when Clemson swung the ball out to their big TE #84 in the flats, he turned up field and Morrison single handedly took him head on, got blown up but stopped the TE in his tracks and allowed the rest of the defense to swarm and stop him.

He was everywhere Saturday, unbelievable performance by that young man.

Great so now we wont ever see him play like that again because no one will target him.

Coach Freeman called an offensive play?
Very interesting. We know Coach Kelly called them all season in some of his years, but I hadn't heard that Coach Freeman wanted to get into that phase of the game. How do we know this?

Watch the video from post #396. After Mayer scores his touchdown the camera catches a conversation between Mayer and Freeman. Mayer asks coach if he called the play and Freeman recalled how the conversation went between he and Tommy.

The video ND put out it sounds like Freeman said over the headset for Rees to call a pass play for Mayer

Also going straight into the veins:

- Nana hyping up the locker room
- Low angle view of MFMF talking to the offense, with the starting OL on a knee front-and-center
- Nana hyping up BenMo to the sideline camera... "HE'S A FRESHMAN!!!!"
- Tommy Rees aggressively chest bumping everyone with a surprise early return to the sidelines

Got goosebumps all over again three days later.

I completely lost my voice at the game after the blocked punt so I went 3 quarters still yelling at the top of my lungs(as much as I could) and I’m absolutely paying for it right now with probably the worst sore throat I’ve ever had in my life lol

Absolutely 150% worth it

Someone didn’t watch this game.
And let's also be clear about that Notre Dame loss. It was an implosion by Clemson more than it was a true drubbing by Notre Dame. The Irish got a touchdown on special teams, a pick six and another TD following an interception deep in Clemson territory.

The fact is, Clemson's offense is a bit of a mess right now. But is that so much more concerning than a USC defense that just gave up 35 to Cal? Or an Alabama defense that couldn't stop LSU in crunch time? Or an LSU team with one more loss (including to a Florida State team that Clemson beat)?

No one in Clemson should be feeling good right now. There's much work to be done to right the ship. But this feels like an overcorrection that's looking entirely at the final score of the most recent game and ignoring all the things the committee liked about the Tigers a week earlier.

Hilarious that this game is so complicated that most fans don't really understand what the coaches are even thinking about 70% of the time, but then you hear behind the scenes talk and it's like "throw a fuckin pop, YOLO."
