I love Lost in Space. It keeps the touchy feely soap opera portion of the show in check enough for me to enjoy the production and special effects. It's big screen / big budget looking. That's what turns me off with so much of today's binge-able sci/fi it's lo/fi.
Did anyone see Shot Caller? Really liked that too. One of the Game of Thrones' stars is the lead. It's sorta B movie-ish but it has some legit prison scenes a good cast including Cheddar Bob and Keith Jardine. This movie would have been a 10 if you add $10M to the production and get a 15 year younger Viggo Mortenson... which is what the Jaime Lanister guy is. Has an Eastern Promises meets American History X vibe.
Started the Witcher with mama last night. Enjoyed E1, fell asleep during E2. She stayed up to 4am and was raving about it but she's a GOT's fan so I guess.
Oh... and what's with Superman channeling his inner Carl from Slingblade with the guttural Mmmmmm's all the time? It's like it's an inside joke.
