Gotta go with 2008, the class that saved IE from the depths of hell!!! Seriously, you newbies have no idea how bad this place got after the admin and the mods all left around 2009-ish. Wild Wild West...very little football talk, and guys exactly like irishpat and that idiot knute_rockne (the poster, not the coach) tried to take over the site by being internet bullies and saying anything to anyone w/out any consequences. It was pathetic. (Yo BGIF, remember IrishLew? How many times did we ban that clown when we first took over? LOL...was there a bigger racist/jackass than that guy???)

But man, 2006 had some real heavyweights. We all owe this site to jpham, who agreed to take over and end all the bullsh!t (with a big assist from BGIF, a true "G" if there ever was one). Plus they had GoshenGipper, perhaps the greatest human being and biggest ND fan ever to grace this site, God rest his soul.

I was just a reader/lurker for 2 years (always thought message boards were for dorks LOL), and for a while this site was amazing with some incredible posters. Incredible insight. Of course, in this poll, the most recent years will win the poll b/c they are most likely still with us. But man, those early years had some heavy hitters!

I think his name was GD93 (unfortunately, I looked in the archives and couldn't find it), and I seriously think he had a screw loose, or he was one of those guys like "arabia" with very little to do in life so he created a new username just to mess with everyone.

And yes, he was maddening! You're dead-on when you say that all he did was say "I agree" on every single damn post LOL. He would average like 40 posts a day - not exaggerating! And nothing of substance. He was killing the site! I remember he kept posting that the 2008 team would go 11-1 or 12-0 ("You heard it here first - mark it down!!!"), and then we got our first loss, to MSU, he completely disappeared, never to return again (thank God).

2010 class is unreal amount of talent. 2011 you guys are fresh I get it. 2010 class already has 2 mods, poster of the year, insider of the year, the best poster on this board imo also. Golden always delivers the goods. WhosWildManNow even tough hes a grump. We got OMM who if you don't read every single one of his posts you should. than we got the young gun Bryce Harper in Philly. Hollywood I am all for history and I really do respect. Your posts were great to read. Thanks for you guys making this board what it is. But I think the 2010 class slayed the foundation for the future and i know I am forgetting a bunch of 2010 posters. Plus wasn't our 2008 class number 1 on rivals and espn? Its only fitting.
