Nah...i got a ban hammer on my Ag school board for doing literally the same thing as ndgrad.

Then again...i made a new account a week later, toned down the jackassery about 2 notches, and they didn't mind.

My 2 cents... he was the most complained about poster on this site. I don't care if he wants to have (wrong) opinions but stay on topic in threads where those opinions apply. I also agreed with a lot of his stuff, surprisingly.

But instead he literally tried to twist every single thread into a rant about Kelly and Swarbrick. It's like this scene:

He brought some interesting opinions that went against the grain of conventional wisdom at times... but his negativity and lack of at least acknowledging the viewpoints of those that disagreed was sometimes hard to take. Sometimes agreeing to disagree is not a bad thing.

GradTroll is already over on ISD dishing it out under the name highburst. Join dates are a few weeks apart. At least that's my guess.

The library was the first major deviation from ND's distinctive and classic architectural style. Only the mural saved it from validating what many saw as the biggest grain elevator in the Midwest. Today it is iconic only because of the mural. Now we have enother large building that is a cross between an Indian pueblo and a 90 year old LA hospital which is a major deviation from an iconic architectural style, unique to ND if only in its enforced consistency across the entire campus,that has been in place for well over half a century. Check out Vanderbilt or even the U of Chicago to see how design evolution has led to chaos. ND is an architectural gem. A cathedral to higher learning. And it is cohesive above all else.

What is done is done and it satisfies so many needs that have existed for years. Is it iconic? Only in that it paints a mustache on the Mona Lisa.

I'm viewed as an old fogie here, but I don't mind negative views about things as long as they are civilly and impersonally given. The difference between that and trolling (whether consciously or unconsciously) is when a person turns the "discussion" away from the discussion and makes the exchanges all about themselves --- going on a massive ego-trip. That guy (and a few others) will then totally ruin a thread. IE can't tolerate that I wouldn't think.

Well you're about as subtle as a gun.

I don't try to make threads about me. I just have critical opinions about ND in certain areas that aren't widely accepted the cheerleaders.

But I ain't mad atcha.

You mean like when you made a couple sky is falling posts (about recruiting), right before ND rattles off what will be 4 commitments in a, roughly, 3 week time period? At least most likely. 3 of them being top 150 players, arguably top 100 players.

I'm not sure critical is the right way to describe it. Make believe, overly dramatic, way too emotional, etc. might be more accurate.

I've reiterated this multiple times, but you continue to over generalize what my complaint was. It's always been summer recruiting of specific members who we were inches from closing on, and didn't. It is not about recruiting overall.

Rather than derail this thread, I posted it here.

I found him easy to ignore... and thus mostly ignored him (without the ignore feature) and stayed away from most threads where he was complaining or a group of regs were complaining about him... so it's in that context that I'm still like: no way he had more complaints that this guy, or that guy, or that other guy over there...

I think you do a good job complaining on topic, regardless if I agree with it or not.

It's nothing like Gradtroll who could flip any thread to... stadium sucks or Kell-brick sucks therefore ND Football sucks in a single post. No segue, no lube, just jammed it in dry without warning.

Just a phase I've not heard in polite conversation before. Not a proctologist, but have pulled an assortment of rectal foreign bodies from people who apparently "sit" on them, while naked, possibly in the shower
