Praetorian asked me to delete his account. He mentioned that he's moving into a new role and needed to step away. I think he wanted to send a few shots over the bow of his political opponents before bowing out. Rest assured his account deletion had nothing to do with the recent dust-up in the Politics thread.

I would say that there are a number of times Cack came and posted news that may have just been unbiased reporting, but there was also fluff that was opinionated and skewed to one end. He's completely entitled to those positions, and based on his political beliefs those positions worked for him, but it doesn't mean they're "right" for everyone. That's the big problem with the Political threads, everyone is entrenched in their positions and no one really doesn't want to give an inch so there's very little actual discourse or meaningful discussion.

Destroyed more than a few boards.

It's amazing to watch various forums go down or boost views. Politics really don't belong on any team, vacation destination...etc forum, it only seeks to divide those with a similar love, and I find that sad. I am guilty of that and hope websites identify this problem.


With that said...If it's continued to be allowed I will always speak up and generate those clicks that brings these websites $$$.

I totally get that. Heck, I'm a diehard Bama guy who came here 5+ years ago to discuss football before the upcoming Bama/ND NC game and ended up staying because of the discussions about food, science, wives & kids, culture, etc. The political threads are minefields and it's easy to take it personally or go too far. I'm guilty of it sometimes, but they can also be interesting. You may be the wiser of us to just enjoy the rest and avoid them.

I dont want IE to take away my ringside seat for the political threads just because a few people cant handle that anonymous strangers on an internet message board may disagree with their opinions.

Speaking of opinions: IE needs to fix the bug of IPhone not being able to use apostrophes and quotation marks on Tapatalk. Its been going on a fucking year!!!
