I am not sure if there is a thread for this or not, but his hiring seems genius at this time. He has taken a converted slot wr/db and had him in the Heisman talk for a few weeks and has gotten a true frosh ready, who looks great, and has to get another true frosh ready this week. Nothing against Tony Alford and I know he was a great recruiter, but I always wondered about his positional coaching abilities. Denson, though, has been fantastic.

I was thinking the same while watching the game yesterday. I can't recall the last time ND could just continue to replace running back after running back and not lose production. However the oline probably has something to do with this.

I think a combination of the two is fair. Giving the credit of having young and inexperienced runningbacks ready to fill a role in this offense to HH seems off base.

Denson is a really good hire IMO. It will start to pay off on the recruiting trail as he builds relationships.

I think it's a combo of Denson and Hiestand doing outstanding work. I think we are playing great because we recruit good players and coach them up well. Josh Adams is going to be a stud. He has such good vision and patience for a true frosh.

Also looks like we may have both rbs in this class from Florida. Denson holding his own in recruiting.

How are we ever going to recruit Florida if Tony Alford leaves? Wel done coach Denson.

From a recruiting and coaching standpoint, I think he is the best BK hire since HH

Great job AD!

I enjoyed watching him on the call-ins as well. He has a great rapport with the kids.

I said it in the other thread, but man, I was terrified how we'd do in Florida when Alford left. Denson has erased all my doubts. That dude really cleaned up a talent hotbed.

On the video clips of each recruit, I really liked what he has to say. just an awesome individual. and the fact that he is an all time great Notre Dame player, who I watched play growing up, is just the cherry on top.

Got to agree. Barely into the first game he lost his two starting RBs, yet he got two more guys ready to play and they both played lights out (One of which was a true freshman!). Booker could learn a thing or two from him when it comes to development.

I thought everyone was a Notre Dame man just by being nominated?

Not sure how this hasn't been reported yet because it's three day old news but he's a finalist for the Albany Christian job. But most think he's the backup option

Yes, his position group has been pretty damned good the past few seasons.

That would probably be a pretty big pay cut I would think.

He's an ND guy. I saw in an interview that he's super close with the RB's and that they spend a lot of time at his house and with his kids. I'm pretty sure he's here to stay for a good while.
